I think Turn The Lights Off hit ACR this week? It’s down to #85 on the chart today but #4 on the dance chart above Talk of the Town (#5)

acr oh how we all hate you…

Caught up with the thread in a timelier manner this week teresa

Nice to see Dave rising to the top 2 (and now swapped out for 'History' in my #1 albums playlist on Spotify, the first time I've had to make such a swap - sticking to my original specification of playlisting the most streamed song that didn't make the top 2, I'm not going to swap songs out for falling behind the streaming numbers of other songs as that would be impractical to keep track of but will do if any song on the playlist rises into the top 2 magic) - handing Taylor an end of the week L for a third week in a row cheeseblock great to see the video seems to be giving it a third lease of life and hopefully now tracking to reach #1 next week!

Also good to see 'Die On This Hill' returning to the top 10, even if not a new peak yet, and 'You Stole The Show' was sounding quite good on the chart show today actually after finding it meh on previous listens (that did happen for me with DOTH as well). Yay for '4 Raws' finally cracking the top 20 and further new peaks for 'Think About Us' and 'Stateside' too (the latter almost jumping straight from matching the peak of 'Tonight' to matching the peak of 'Illegal' - hopefully will yet give her at least a first top 20 if not top 10 from this era).

I still really like 'Die With A Smile' and 'Locked Out Of Heaven' so they're welcome returns to the top 40, although glad that last minute shock didn't result in 'Midnight Sun' missing out! I am sure that will continue to climb in coming weeks anyway but fab to see it making it in this week, it was too good of a pop song to not eventually be a hit x

Yay at Zach Bryan's album indeed managing a top 3 debut and 'Plastic Cigarette' nabbing him a third top 30 hit - some parts of this song sound very similar to 'Pink Skies' really but it's still another goodun from him, seems to be holding up decently on Spotify beyond the initial 2nd day dropoff, will see if it (or anything else from this album) turns into a top 200 mainstay alongside the ones from each of the previous three albums. Need to give the album a listen over the weekend, quite a commitment at 25 tracks but I really liked nearly every song off his last album which had 19 songs so hopefully this one should have plenty of highlights too.

I actually don't mind the new Luke Combs song but it's still affirming to see it being outdebuted 3 times over by Zach xx In other country chart news good to see 'Choosin' Texas' rising into the zone of being acknowledged by Alan Jones and Polyhex too, hope it can at least outpeak 'you look like you love me' if not properly blow up.

we is plural for me, myself and i 😭

So Bruno's new song giving boosts to old songs which is the conventional outcome but Zara is doing things the other way with her old song giving a boost to a new one.

I think the main reason for Bruno's back catalogue surging so much is his tour announcement (although ofc that is tied in with him having new material to promote as well).
