Truly MASSIVE numbers ❤️

Loving this right now, I'm not a huge fan of Harry's discography but I do tend to always love his lead singles (each of them being my fav track from their respective eras - maybe 'Aperture' will be my fave of this era too)! I'm kinda just reiterating what people have been saying here but I think its really commendable that he's taken this moderately left-field step whilst he's at the peak of his powers.

Feeling some 'Ray Of Light' vibes on this one maybe 🔥

  • Wow. It's not often a lead single by an A-list superstar leaves me surprised like this. Kudos to Harry for making another musical swerve here. It sounds like the late 00s in a good way, all the cool

  • 100%, I’m not really particularly bothered about Harry any more than any other big artist I would check out because they’ve released, but I can’t think of any big male artist who would release a 5 min

These numbers! cheeseblock

Let's see how much it holds for the next days, but I guess it's a certainty that a #1 debut in the major markets is in the horizon for now.

Well obviously look at ordinary it won't piss off 🤣

There is definitely something of the spirit of David Bowie in him in his continuous reinventions every era, it's wonderful to see, especially, as mentioned earlier, when popular male artists consistently play it safe. A five minute plus song debuting with those numbers is proof that you can use your platform to experiment.

I'm liking this on first listen, might take a while before I enjoy it as much as As It Was, but the modern disco sound and techno works really well. The video reminds me a bit of Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice which probably isn't entirely coincidental given the sound.

Good for him that he is experimenting but god this doesn’t have a replay value at all for me…and I’m very into this kind of stuff!!!

Omg this didn’t age well at all lmao

It just got played on a club and it goes off. It’s really made to be played loud.

Well deserved all the success it’s getting <3

Image "Aperture" will take over the #1 in the Singles Charts and Louis will take the #1 in the album charts. Does such a folie a deux ever happen in charts history?

Entirely expected, there's significant drops in streaming figures today, but still #1 in the UK (608,328) and US (1,586,191), and #3 global (5,262,738).

Aperture had a 61.45% decrease from yesterday globally, giving it the biggest drop from #1 for a non-holiday song.

Im hoping he can safely secure his 3rd solo UK number 1 this week.

I often think Harry feels like he has more solo number 1s than he actually has so hopefully this gets there.

Likewise if he can do the same in the U.S to give him his 3rd solo number 1 in that market aswell.

The decreases were expected to happen to be honest. Therefore this is something to not worry about it yet. I still think stability is the key, so let's see how it does in the next days.

With it starting out on such huge numbers it was always going to decrease and i agree stability over the coming weeks is key.

Some of the people who decide to listen to a song on its first day don't like the song, and then decide to not stream it again.

Going to be vulnerable on main... x

Unfortunately I'm not feeling 'Aperture' yet! ☹️ There's aspects of the song that, for now at least, don't fully work for me. I've seen "meandering" as a positive descriptor, but I find the intro and the verses to drag on a bit too long. I find his enunciation to be unclear in the verses - without lyrics in front of me, I didn't really get a sense of what he was singing. I do find the chorus to be the strongest portion of the song, but not to the extent that it's worth the payoff of the 2 minutes it takes to get there.

As a whole, it's certainly a different/unexpected song from Harry. I understand people giving him kudos for that, because he could easily play it safer.

I always feel a bit "🫨" when I don't fully get a song that's being heavily praised, particularly by an artist I really like, it makes me feel a bit on the outside. I'll certainly be giving it more plays and I'm hopeful that it'll click. I'm still excited for the album!
