This week's new peaks on the Audio Streaming chart for songs either on ACR or starred out:

53 Fleetwood Mac - The Chain

91 Bruno Mars - Just The Way You Are (Amazing)

Looks like Jeff Buckley got a reset this week then - assuming it was a manual reset otherwise I really can't square the jankiness of this qualifying to be noticed for an automatic reset while 'That's What I Like' hasn't got one. Fab to see it charting anyway, only heard it for the first time the other week (and I think his cover of 'Hallelujah' was literally the only song I'd ever heard from him before that) but it is a great song.

'STAY HERE 4 LIFE' wasn't a highlight from the Rocky album for me on first listen despite usually being a fan of Brent Faiyaz, hopefully it might grow on me. 'STOLE YA FLOW' is a banger though so glad that kept his third spot.

Also a bit of neat trivia that Dave is currently #1 in the singles chart and #100 in the albums chart! Can't imagine that happens very often (especially with the artist in question having no other entries in either chart).

Hey Danuary. I always appreciate the weekly chart listings and the analysis breakdowns you do as it helps my record keeping but you've put Dry Cleaning's album at No. 20 when it's meant to be Sabrina Carpenter's Short N Sweet. Dry Cleaning are a 12 N Out 😆

Edited by soundseekerz

Haven't looked at this topic for a few weeks... what does bold signify? Thought it might be something to do with climbing orhow recent the release is but I can see exceptions to both!

...wait is it new / re peak?

yes

I'm down for just replacing all of Sabrina's chart accomplishments with Dry Cleaning x

So the OCC disqualified I Run for being AI but allows whatever that thing at #68 is to chart...

We’ve had this conversation many times on here. ‘I Run’ was not disqualified for being AI - as such but because it made the track sound like it was an established singer who had not given permission for her voice to be used in that way - or something along those lines.

Yes, it was seemingly because the vocal (a real human vocal from HAVEN. modified to sound feminine) was modelled on a real vocalist, allegedly Jorja Smith, which led to the takedown notices and why a real human vocalist singing it instead is less of an issue.

Personally I don't think it sounds anything like Jorja Smith but fair enough if that was the rationale.

Definitely opens up a can of worms though as you argue any AI voice could feasibly be based upon a 'real' vocalist.

Also worth noting that HAVEN. leaned into the rumours, even including #JorjaSmith in their TikTok videos promoting the song...! (though they've denied it was actively based on her)

Not sure if this has ever happened before on any chart but the top 40 on the audio streaming chart this week is made up of the exact same 40 songs as last week
