  • More fun celeb child names facts - I just realized Alanis Morissette's two sons are called Winter (my entry) and Ever (as in... The Best Song Contest in the World... Ever!)

I thought Julian would have voted for Peter Gabriel. I forgot to allow for the possibility that it was his entry

Limousine was produced by MIchael Cretu (Enigma) btw.

Foot shooting myself back into the lower half, not sure if it's worth holding out hope for Cow to be into menacing breakcore x

Congrats Chez clap Truly deserved!

Well done Chez, interested to hear what the votes by receipt threw up in comparison!

A very good, inspired winner. Glad it wasn't one of the very well known acts.

Just catching up with this now and oh boy did I not expect Talking Heads to do so badly. Misjudged that one.

Thanks to those who did give it points though

Entry: U.S.U.R.A. & Datura – Infinity [Astrological Mix]

And with that, @CowTzy is the person who has lead for some of the night but couldn't quite get enough points to seal the win, but their Infinity lives on!

No more votes to be counted, that just leaves me to confirm that *ahem" REMARKABLY... @Chez Wombat is the winner! wave

Congrats to Chez and thanks to everyone who participated.

ugh, not 3rd again. Where my first runner-up??!!!

That sounds great, I always thought of U.S.U.R.A. as a one hit wonder with the very good 'Open Your Mind' and its iconic video.

Ooh, a very inspired top four in the end, that's great, well done Jim and Cow too for Podium finishes!

Finishing top ten here takes the sting out of a DNQ in BJSC as I have never done well in this, thanks Cow for lifting me back into the top ten at the last minute!

Thanks Wardy for a fun evening of results, and a very nice theme that really got me thinking, and actually searching for an entry rather than using something from a potentials list, for once.

Congrats @Chez Wombat, a deserved win, and it did get 6 points from me! And thanks @awardinary for a fun results evening!

I never know how I'm going to do in these contests but I will admit I felt fairly confident with 'Avenue'. I absolutely adore 90s Saint Etienne so I just need any excuse to enter a song by them! Surely it was a surprise to no one that it was sent me by, considering I also sent a Saint Etienne song to PFSC XVI: Dreamy Pop just 6 months ago? Anyway I'll try to resist entering Saint Etienne (or indeed the Pet Shop Boys) for the next few song contests but I'm not promising anything kink

Wow, thanks Cow for a bronze to end on, and well done on bronze for yourself, I enjoyed your entry a lot!

So I'm runner-up in this here contest for a second time in a row, third time in total, and for a 6th time across all Buzzjack contests (tying once again with "DNQ" as my most frequent finish!) cheeseblock

Very happy for Chez to take the win here though, congrats on picking up (edit: which I now recall you already had x) the coveted jukebox widget!

Congrats Chez! Great winner!

Third last! 😱 At least it’s fitting I’m on the same points as Nine my 12. ❤️ I thought the Doobie Brothers would be a bit more popular but oh well.

Thanks for a fun edition Wardy! The English nerd in me loved this theme. 🤓

Thanks Wardy for doing fabulous job <3

And what a strong Top 10!!!

Voted for 6 of them and 2 of them were just outside my votes <3

Also back inside the Top 10 myself after peaking #11 last contest <3.

Me and @dandy* are still going neck on neck in this contest kink ❤️

Oh my, my points are increasing with every vote! You better not be getting my hopes up again, Wardy x

😄

I wanted it to be an interesting ride to the end! Hopefully it was for you x

Well top marks for that suspense building, Wardy, I must admit I started to clock on when my points gradually grew in number and the votes weren't in order of receipt as I knew I voted quite later on, plus there's no keeping stealthy reveals secret with Bre around ;-)

Thank you all so much, I'm so pleased this was a good discovery to so many of you. I missed the listenthrough so hadn't known the reaction so this has surprised me and then some! I should definitely go on music searches more than just going with my Apple Music library as it has added to the discovery element.

Good to see Tears, Peace and Revenge make the top 10, as well as Portishead and Tori who are always great to discover new songs by. A shame that my 12 pointer just missed out on the top 10 and Rockets was definitely robbed </3

Thanks very much for hosting, Wardy, very enjoyable, original theme idea, guess I'll need to start thinking of one myself x
