Grandwicky 20, Julian 20In common with the Bloc Party single, this was the fourth and final top 10 hit for the group from Northern Ireland. It has the same number of points and votes as 'Golden Years' and so wins the tie-break with one 24 point score.

12 hours ago12 hr 'Shining Light' is quite the banger, I remember it was considered a bit of a return to form at the time, it certainly returned them to the top 10 after a less successful era. 'Who You Are' is pretty good I guess if a little screechy at times. Not fussed about the other three dropouts today, I don't get the love for 'Flux' one bit.
12 hours ago12 hr Nooooo what is Flux doing out already? From skimming through everyone's scores I thought it had done better than that.Romeo and Juliet is also a great song (which I first got into via a cover by The Killers if anyone remembers their offcuts album?), would also have liked to see that in the final.
10 hours ago10 hr 3 back to back losses there from Bloc Party, Bowie and Dire Straits, all solid tracks but not the best I've heard from their catalogues. The latter hopefully making it through to the finals with another (superior) song!
9 hours ago9 hr Ok as much as I don't like 'Flux' even I will say it's offensive that it's finished below 'Who You Are'. One of the most genuinely unlistenable songs to become a hit.
7 hours ago7 hr I know “Shining Light” is pretty simple musically but I’ve always found it really moving.
1 hour ago1 hr My first two songs out. Shining Light is a a great indie anthem and you can’t really go wrong with Bowie, thought not one of his best
