Daft Punk) [Unsuccessful]And finally, three artists that missed out on Live Shows by a chin hair, all being very successful in each of the rounds up to this point. Starting with Kesha, she topped the leaderboard with Blow and despite not being Jack's first choice of artist for the competition, I'd say he's done a pretty remarkable job with her here, showcasing a range of different songs from bops old and new to ballads like Praying. Jack matches his previous record in The Pop Factor, eliminated at the same stage Fifth Harmony were in the first season. George Michael... I have only just noticed came fourth in every single round besides The Black Hole Battles and The Scoop where it was impossible to do so haha. DaTilt joined the second season as a newcomer and did a flawless job representing the late George Michael in my opinion. A good variety of classic, monster hits as well as some lesser known tracks. And it paid off. And then finally, Mango had a bit of a yo-yo trajectory with The Weeknd in the competition, topping the solo male leaderboard on occasion and then dropping down the leaderboard when it came to The Weeknd's lesser known (or liked) songs. Nonetheless, amazing job here showcasing some of his absolute best. Thank you all three of you for bringing it And that's all of the eliminated artists' identities revealed thank you so much to everybody for sticking with it for as long as you all have so far and for keeping the secrets. You can relax and be free now x
March 22Mar 22 Amazing consistency for George to come 4th in all of the first five rounds. Careless Whisper is a classic. The Weeknd is very patchy for me so the topsy turvy weekly results aren't too much of a surprise, but when he's at his best he's untouchable, and I Feel It Coming certainly should have seen him through, incredible piece of work.
March 22Mar 22 24 minutes ago, Jade said:Aww, a shame that Blondie didn't quite do enough as I still had so much more to present - some of my favourite hits like: 'Heart of Glass', 'Atomic', 'Dreaming' and 'Picture This', plus I probably would've gone with 'In The Flesh' for ballads and 'Rip Her to Shreds' for flops.I thought 'One Way Or Another' would be competitive enough for battles, as it's one of those album tracks that has far transcended that status much like 'Here Comes the Sun' for The Beatles (it's literally Blondie's top track on Spotify right now) but 'Maneater' was a very unfortunate opponent. I knew I was doomed when even people with more alt-leaning tastes said it was a coin toss for them. I think 'Heart of Glass' might have been the only song of theirs that would've put up a real fight against it, but who knows, was probably too tall an order to knock it out with anything.I then thought the poptastic, classic Diana Vickers anthem 'Call Me' would be enough for them to claw their way back into the competition but I judged that wrong as well 😢 I have quite an annoying trajectory in this so far as Addison Rae dropped out at this exact stage as well, as Calum pointed out - I think 'Diet Pepsi' just missed out Still proud of Blondie's earlier performances, especially the 1st places for 'Maria' and 'Hanging On the Telephone', in what was viewed as a competitive category.Btw I saw quite a few people guessing me for ROSALÍA. I am a big fan but never would've picked her because I wanted to try a different category this time, after sending Addison in the female category during the inaugural edition. Blondie were my first choice!Sad to be out but at least I can sit back and relax now after two highly stressful rounds although... call me if the Tesco Mary clubcard of double redemption is found down the back of the sofa xYou did an amazing job Jade, just unfortunate to come up against Maneater. Anyone would’ve struggled against that.Thank you for sending some absolute classics.
March 22Mar 22 I think for The Weeknd some of the biggest hits were used too early. I think he could have managed a few more rounds.
March 22Mar 22 DaTilt your taste in George Michael songs is stellar and also reminded me how much of a classic 'Careless Whisper' is - it got my top marks in the Paije round 😍Didn't realise that he got an entire streak of 4th places in the earlier rounds, oh my *.*
March 22Mar 22 I didn't think Nik Kershaw would get very far so my plan was just to front load with The Riddle, Wouldn't It Be Good and I Won't Let The Sun Go Down On Me but as The Riddle did so well in round 1 and the points were carried over to round 2, I was able to sneak in an album track, Gone To Pieces. As that was also quite well received, I went with Dancing Girls as my bop. After my album track, You Might, I took a bit of a risk with Sometimes but wanted to include something that wasn't from Nik's first two albums.I was then able to finish with two of Nik's best known songs so I feel I took him as far as I could. My one mistake was maybe I should have started with Wouldn't It Be Good and kept The Riddle for the battleground round.I'm pleased that a few people who weren't familiar with his music liked some of the songs I submitted. For anyone who doesn't know, Nik wrote the number 1 single 'The One And Only' for Chesney Hawkes.
March 22Mar 22 I believe that not much more was possible for George. "Whole Again" was unbeatable - the toughest contrahent you could get. Went all in then with "Careless Whisper", but this could not save George from being eliminated. Still had several hits in petto for the upcoming rounds: "Freedom", "Outside", "Amazing", and "I Want Your Sex" - just to name a few.

March 22Mar 22 Author Just now, Lukuzz said:Does that mean Kesha George and The Weeknd were the next closest 3?Nope, those that lost their battles are just in a random order in the list of eliminated contestants I've got on my document!
March 22Mar 22 I Feel It Coming and Careless Whisper were my top 2 so that eliminatom stings a bit, but some great stuff sent by both artists (not sure I'd have sent Blinding Lights that early mind!)
March 22Mar 22 Author No theme for Live Show One, so just free choice until I hit you with a theme in a future round
March 22Mar 22 I thought Careless Whisper could have brought George back. Would love to see how close he and a few others were !
March 22Mar 22 Thanks Calum as always for flawless presentation <3 Are we going to find out how many space debris did we each get for the last round?

March 22Mar 22 Author I'm still conflicted on whether to reveal the full results for this round because I don't want anyone feeling like shit about how their artist performed vs the rest. Might wait until the end of the season
