Posted February 11Feb 11 hemlocke springs is set to release her full-length debut album "The Apple Tree Under the Sea" on Friday - a name you might've seen pop up here and there, her single "Girlfriend" achieved some viral success (and heavy rotation for myself) in 2022, which appeared on her "Going...Going...Gone!" February 18Feb 18 Definitely going to be giving this album a listen on my train journey home this evening off the back of “be the girl!” - superb song and a rare example of a song actually being better FOR its length for me 😂I enjoyed “w-w-w-w-w” too so I’m excited to get fully on board with her.

The chorus of 'be the girl!' is very CHVRCHES-coded - I'm hoping that will be a grower as it took me a couple of minutes to get into it during that first listen.
