POP’S comeback queen Madonna has made her way back on Radio 1’s playlist again, a decade after it deemed her too old. The station snubbed her music and said its listeners had “moved on” from the supe

Absolutely phenomenal to be getting Radio 1 A-List support like that. Once again breaking boundaries in her career and proving that age does not matter when it comes to music. Yes Sabrina is involve

It’s true - A-list at Radio 1 and Tune of the Week!

It feels like such a messy release - I know Madonna does things her way and that’s to be applauded but the way music is consumed has moved on.

It’s felt very much like a 2002 single roll out, pre-release performance, download followed a few weeks later by a remix and then the video.

In today’s world and for an artist like Madonna who is so visual it needed a big focus on week 1 rather than a staggered release - it feels like everyone has moved on from it regardless of how good/bad/otherwise the video and remix is.

Amazing they look so good and I love the sound of hung up clock in the middle of the video

I agree with this. If she had the video ready to go as well as a CD single and a vinyl I really think that would’ve pushed her to a top 10 debut. It would’ve probably sank like a stone regardless but clearly a high peak was important with this release, they just went about it the wrong way. Also waiting so long after debuting it at Coachella to release it was a mistake imo, performing singles pre-release doesn’t really work unless the release follows it very quickly.

This cycle seems to be repeating with Danceteria.

Yeah, I feel like they could've done more to pull out all the stops on week one. But hey, it is what it is.

Maybe it'll have a mini second wind on album release?
