So congratulations to Harry Styles, who would’ve been fine had he retired after One Direction but instead went on to become one of the more interesting and adventurous pop stars of his era. “I think there’s a lot of things that used to feel like, Okay, there’s a part of your life, then there’s a hard stop, then there’s a next part of your life,” he told Apple Music around the release of 2022’s Grammy-winning Harry’s House. “Things that used to feel so unbelievably foreign to me, sort of terrifying—like, I’m not 19 anymore, so I’m less terrified. And realising [life’s] just one thing, and not chapter over, bye-bye.” Perspective: It helps, whether you’re out there in front of 50,000 people or performing the very first Apple Music Live session. Part of what made One Direction great was that they never shied away from the pleasures of boy-band pop but never patronised their audiences, either: Never mind the no-dancing policy; they wrote their own songs and cultivated their own musical perspectives. Beyond his precision-tooled indie-curious pastiche of classic pop, soft-rock, psychedelia and soul, Styles’ lyrics capture a playfulness and emotional specificity that feels unusual for pop so big, whether it’s the flirtation of “Music for a Sushi Restaurant” (“Green eyes/Fried rice/I could cook an egg on you”) or the image of a kid outrunning an unhappy home on “Matilda” (“You were riding your bike to the sound of ‘It’s No Big Deal’”). The track and follow-up "Lonely" became the centerpieces of her debut EP sick to my stomach, released that fall and promoted by a tour with Liberian-born folk singer Mon Rovia. Born and raised in 1994 in the northeastern English town of North Shields, the singer/songwriter first picked up a guitar at age 10 and began playing gigs locally as a teen to help support him and his mother. But it wasn’t until he started writing music for himself—rather than what he thought others wanted to hear—that everything started to click. That’s when he wrote his 2017 debut single, “Play God”, a propulsive, politically charged slice of indie rock. It came from a place of deep desperation, “a time where I was like, ‘I need to prove myself. I need to do something that cuts through,’” he told Apple Music. The track earned him a slot on BBC’s Sound of 2018 shortlist, which led to a deal with Polydor Records and the release of his acclaimed 2019 debut, Hypersonic Missiles, an album that channels modern-day anxiety through heartfelt heartland rock. His 2021 follow-up, Seventeen Going Under, hit even harder, pumped full of soaring arrangements and bold statements that continue to prove Fender’s power as a mighty millennial voice for the working class. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart HistorySam Fender2019 89 Play God -1-2019 48 Hypersonic Missiles -2- MILLIONAIRE2019 43 Will We Talk? -3- MILLIONAIRE2019 59 The Borders -IG-2021 03 Seventeen Going Under -1- MILLIONAIRE2021 48 Get You Down -2-2021 41 Spit Of You -3-2022 47 Getting Started -4-2022 61 Alright -PS-2022 71 Wild Grey Ocean -5-2024 05 Homesick (Noah Kahan & Sam Fender)2024 04 People Watching -1-2025 14 Arm's Length -2-2025 94 Wild Long Lie -IG-2025 48 Remember My Name -IG-2025 24 Little Bit Closer -3-2025 78 Tyrants -PS-2025 01 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean) -4- MILLIONAIRE2025 20 Talk To You (Sam Fender & Elton John) -5-1 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 6 x Top 20 | 7 x Top 40 | 19 x Top 100Olivia Dean2021 19 The Christmas Song -NAS-2025 36 It Isn't Perfect But It Might Be -OST-2025 17 Dive -1-2025 04 Nice To Each Other -1- MILLIONAIRE2025 01 Rein Me In (Sam Fender & Olivia Dean) MILLIONAIRE2025 38 Lady Lady -IG-2025 01 Man I Need -2- MILLIONAIRE2025 02 So Easy (To Fall In Love) -3-2025 13 A Couple Minutes -AT-2025 21 Let Alone The One You Love -AT-2026 19 The Hardest Part -1-2 x #1 | 4 x Top 5 | 4 x Top 10 | 8 x Top 20 | 11 x Top 40 | 11 x Top 100Social Media Sam Fender Olivia Dean

March 13Mar 13 Author Future chart hit? Noah KahanPorch Light2nd single from The Great DivideReleased: 13th March 2026Label: Mercury RecordsVideoBiographyNoah Kahan pens tenderhearted meditations on life’s ups and downs that are rustic enough for country cabins yet infectious enough for the pop charts. The singer-songwriter was born in 1997 and grew up on a farm in Vermont. He spent his youth refining his folk picking on guitar, banjo and mandolin while transforming his voice into the raspy falsetto captured on his debut hit, 2017's "Hurt Somebody". Recorded while bouncing between New York, L.A. and points in between, Kahan’s first two full-lengths, 2019’s Busyhead and 2021’s I Was / I Am, showcase an artist sharpening his pop instincts. When the Covid pandemic hit in 2020, Kahan returned to Vermont and—feeling nostalgic for his New England childhood—stripped his music to its gritty soul, resulting in 2022's breakout album, Stick Season. He went on to reimagine several cuts, including a version of “Dial Drunk” featuring rapper Post Malone, that reflect a gift for shaping folk and pop into increasingly novel expressions. - Apple MusicTop 100 Chart History2023 32 Dial Drunk -3-2023 83 Call Your Mom (Noah Kahan & Lizzy McAlpine) -4-2023 01 Stick Season -1- MILLIONAIRE2023 95 She Calls Me Back (Noah Kahan & Kacey Musgraves) -5-2023 16 Northern Attitude (Noah Kahan & Hozier) -2-2023 60 You're Gonna Go Far -AT-2023 72 Everywhere, Everything (Noah Kahan & Gracie Abrams) -6-2024 05 Homesick (Noah Kahan & Sam Fender) -7-2024 31 Forever -AT-2024 84 Cowboys Cry Too (Kelsea Ballerini & Noah Kahan)2026 10 The Great Divide -1-2026 xx Porch Light -2-1 x #1 | 2 x Top 5 | 3 x Top 10 | 4 x Top 20 | 6 x Top 40 | 11 x Top 100Social Media Noah Kahan
March 13Mar 13 Author Thread live, will take some time to get all the posts in because the prep wasn't able to be finished before the downtime. Bear with x
March 13Mar 13 Was pleasantly surprised to see Harry get the number 1 when opening the OCC website earlier! The song has grown on me a lot, I do think Bella will take it next week though
March 13Mar 13 Agree i stull believe there was stronger on the album but glad harry got it, fingers 🤞 Bella keeps up the momentum and gets it next weekYay ordinary out of top 20 watch it back next weekJust typical we get a semi exciting chart this week 🤣🤣
March 13Mar 13 Typical the site went down when the chart show was on and not next week when it will very likely be off! Good to be back anyway. Happy Harry held onto the number one single and nice to see Dracula climb into the top 20! Bella Kay is growing on me a bit so happy to see The Sick enter the top 40 and iloveit x3 in a good position to overtake Rein Me In next week.
March 13Mar 13 Why would it be off next week? It's still on the Radio 1 schedule for now regardless of Comic Relief.

March 14Mar 14 Taylor and Harry getting their worst critically acclaimed albums of their careers, but getting the biggest first-week albums sales of their careers, and also being their first albums to score multiple #1 hits.
March 14Mar 14 Great number 1 for Harry, loving this downtempo subtle vibe from him. I also love the album - good to hear him veering away from Pop for a change. Dracula at 17 is wonderful - hope it climbs more! Thanks for posting all this Joseph.
