Her longest ever gap between albums at 5 and a half years! I wouldn't have anticipated that back in 2023.

  • We have some UK dates too :)

Best of luck to Delta tonight and surely she will cruise through to the final with ease.

Really hoping to see Delta make her return to the UK singles charts this week after a 21 year absence.

Looking back i never really understood why her mistaken identity era really underperformed in the UK after Innocent Eyes doing so well.

I know the sound/lyrics were darker but its still a great album

It is disappointing it underperformed. Only 2 singles if you include Almost Here. There were 4 or 5 singles in Australia depending on how you look at it.

I never really understood the release schedule for Mistaken Identity in the UK - it's like they promoted Out of the Blue and dropped everything until January for Almost Here.

They banked upon her being a bigger name than she was I suppose with the late November release (fair assumption after a near million-selling debut the year before) and it just got lost in the Christmas rush and never recovered. There are many ways that era could have done better, from release dates to single choices. And then all the press attention about Brian and Kerry Katona really didn't help in the UK and I guess they felt there was no mileage left in the album after that.

It’s a shame Eclipse isn’t in the midweeks

Ya im disappointed, looks like Delta will continue to not appear on the UK singles chart

It's a real shame indeed - not even a top 100 placement - I wonder what has not clicked - is it lack of airplay? Even Remember Monday and Olly Alexander charted and they were severly disliked (but I suppose they were the UK entry).

Delta's going on a European (shhhh) WORLD TOUR!

Presale tomorrow! I'm hoping to get tickets, was really gutted I never managed to see her last time around as her visit coincided with my holiday!

Nice, I've actually been lucky enough to see her so many times live in the last few years that it doesn't feel as essential for me to rush to get tickets, however the fact she is finally coming to my hometown Brighton is amazing. I no longer live there but tempted to go back for a night just to see her in the Dome <3 Hope the demand is there to sell out venues like that and The Palladium, they're not small.

I can definitely see the appeal in that (plus the Dome is a great venue!)

Turns out O2 Priority presale is already live, I've just got my tickets for The Palladium!

I know she's had more success since with Eurovision and soon-to-be Strictly, but she did barely sell 2 out of the 4 levels of SBE 2 /3 years ago so the Palladium feels a little ambition alongside the other shows but I went to her Earth show and that was full of people who didn't really know much of her music except the hits, so perhaps there is a new audience.

Ticketmaster is being Ticketmaster as per usual - the link for presale is broken for the Berlin tickets (but all other cities seem to be fine) so I’ll try to get them tomorrow. Doubt she’ll sell out x

Got my ticket for Brighton! I'm not even living there now and am much closer to London but I simply have to see her in the Dome (and the city where many of my Delta memories relate to from when I listened to her growing up). Plus it was in less demand than London so I got fifth row without paying extortionate prices.

Yes, at Earth it seemed like along with the usual suspects of the UK Delta fandom there was a large portion of the UK Eurovision crowd that I see everywhere to do with that (but had never seen at a Delta show before), and a lot more casual music fans than usual too. Mix in a large new Strictly fanbase - we hope - and I suspect it's her best ever opportunity at selling out these mid-sized venues, or at least largely filling them out.
