I think Put Yourself in My Place is an underrated and forgotten (by GP) Kylie gem, but it’s fantastic! It just really dives me into a very relaxed state of mind whenever I hear it.

And Confide is just another level, one of her top-3-5 best songs to me, at some point I was even putting it as my fav Kylie song ever! Could be there again if I ranked it all like you.

Agree that put yourself in my place is definitely forgotten by the general public.

This style suits kylie very well as I pair it with breathe in terms of style and a style that could make a great album

Such songs showcase her vocal ability.

They work in many ways for Kylie and also hust happens that the songs are great, ive said it a few times for songs like Breathe and put yourself in my place really deserve their moment in some way if featured by an other artist, both great songs that should have been bigger hits but werent as her popularity was in decline at the time.

confide and PYIMP are def in my Kylie top 10!!

I love ‘Your Disco Needs You’ and I’m convinced it would’ve been a huge hit had it been released.

I was obsessed with it for years (and still really like it now) but I think it’s aged terribly.

As much as i love and prefer it to spinning around i still think it was the right decision nit to have fully released it.

In Your Eyes

UK chart peak: #3

From: Fever

Due to the continued success of Can't Get You Out of My Head, it wasn't until a month after originally intended that In Your Eyes was released in Europe as the second single from Kylie's eighth album Fever, and honestly (in my own opinion) if anything was going to do a brilliant job of showcasing just how good an album Fever is, and serve as a follow-up to that standing strong in its own right, it was this. In Your Eyes feels like a classic club hit with a music video just as iconic as most the others from the early 2000s. What's interesting is that the visuals for this - and Can't Get You Out of My Head - seemed to be the beginning of Kylie and William Baker's love for all things sci-fi being incorporated into some of her image (most notably on tours, but more subtly in music videos with winks and nods). I'll always have a soft spot for this song, and in terms of live performances, for me, vocally she delivers it at its best in the opening act of the Showgirl tour.

In your eyes is another great single, its my least fave of the Fever singles but i still like it alot but i do remember been so disapponted that it missed the Top 2.

f***ing incredible song, she really was on fire during that era. It's so funky and cool, and it still sounds completely fresh and not at all dated.

I love the video too, the styling and colours are on point.

Love at First Sight

UK chart peak: #2

From: Fever

Going back and revisiting all of Kylie's singles to make this countdown has really solidified just how perfect the run of singles from Fever was. Kylie truly captured the essence of and gave us sublime, timeless pop brilliance. Love at First Sight is just another example of that. I'll be the first to admit that with this song, its continued presence as the closing song in the encore of some of her tours made me tire of it just a little (Showgirl tour, however, you will forever be iconic; having a confetti-filled celebration with this following Especially For You), but pressing play on the studio version is like listening to it for the first time all over again. The music video is brilliant, and we also have the stripped version to enjoy from The Abbey Road Sessions, allowing the lyrical content of the song to come through more powerfully away from the pop-bop production. Wild to think that this was another #2 peak for Kylie when you consider the continued adoration from fans and casuals alike.

It was the song which turned me from an admirer to a hardcore fan that summer so it'll always be a really special song for me, and honestly you can't really get pop better than this. Nice to see it get a reappraisal on the Sky advert too!

Great to see that such a great song changed you to a hardcore fan, its a fantastic song that i so wanted to go to number 1 at the time and i also was a bit peeved it wasnt single number 2 but overall it all worked out well in the end.

I think it worked out perfectly, another number one with an album sold so many was probably always gonna be a tough ask - but I'm happy enough with it being a classic #2 (aside from hating the track that blocked it), and it's such a pure summer song they chose the perfect time to release it.
