Why aren't the record companies up in arms at the OCC with the stillness of the charts, preventing them from establishing their artists, and demanding some changes?

This literally isn't relevant, let it go. Also since when has the chart been a ranking of the biggest names in music? Being #1 doesn't mean you're bigger than Taylor Swift as an artist, it just means

I wonder if the Swifties will help take the Toy Story 5 OST to the top of the compilation chart? I can see Swifties buying the Toy Story 5 OST just for that song alone

Its always nice to meet fellow swifties on here 😁

I doubt record companies are that bothered because the general public really couldn't care less about the charts now. Sure the number 1 is semi important still but I bet if you asked a large sample of the population they couldn't tell you most of the top 10 on either the album or single chart.

They don’t care - they are still getting the £££, also streaming is so high each week overall that even artists not charting are racking up decent streams and revenue.

Hopefully Prospa can go top 10 come Friday!

Same as Monday then - think we could have waited for Joseph's update for that. Also there are more climbers to include than usual this week!

really hope Dai Dai Climbs loving that song right now

I guess it didn't leap up Spotify until today's update, so hopefully by Friday it might be able to get into the top 10

Same as last Wednesday and we know what happened then !

Ohh Michael Jackson is only a tiny bit ahead of Olivia Dean now she could be safe for the year end number 1 for a while yet then

They’ve reduced the signed CD to £5 on Myles store, however doubt that will be enough to keep the #1.

Seems like it’s the right decision by Team Sam to hold back on the physicals until next week (it’s listed as being released next Friday so could count the week after?!).

Pending any other surprise physical drops looks like they’ve got it in the bag for a 14th week at the top (also a tiny fraction of 123 sales up on last week).

More likely to be shipped on Thursday for a Friday arrival and therefore count next week a la Taylor.
