The second last 16 match sees Paraguay who upset the odds by beating Germany take on the bookies favourite France at 10pm (UK Time) on Saturday. These sides have met before in the second round of the World Cup it was back in 1998 where Laurent Blanc scored the golden goal to send France to the quarter-finals where France would go on to win it.

For Paraguay, it is the fifth time that they have reached the last 16 in an World Cup.

For France, it was an comfortable win for them over Sweden by 3-0.

Live on TBC.

How do we see this one going?

Not really agreeing with the condemnation of Paraguay. It was the ref that was poor. It the ref called the fouls and gave cards when he would supposed to, then nobody would be commenting on them.

Arteta must be secretly manging this Paraguayan team.

The referee is a joke. What an ugly play from Paraguay. Hopefully they drop out tonight.

Last 3 Meetings between Paraguay and France:

02/06/2017- France 5-0 Paraguay (Friendly)

01/06/2014- France 1-1 Paraguay (Friendly)

31/05/2008- France 0-0 Paraguay (Friendly)

At World Cups:

28/06/1998- France 1-0 Paraguay (Golden Goal)

08/06/1958- France 7-3 Paraguay

This will be an interesting one. I really don't see Paraguay being able to employ their tactics against Germany against such a devasting French attack. Could be a result more in line with their USA defeat opener.

Pretty much attack v park da bus but Paraguay holding on so far.

Paraguay doing what England, Belgium and Norway probably will have to do for their next matches.

And it's given, Mbappè to take.

And it's 1-0 France, Mbappè goes back level with Messi for the Golden Boot on 7 goals.
