I won’t be able to watch live as I’m working and it just ain’t worth it. I do however think il be able to catch the second half when I wake for work at 7am with the weather that’s planned 😂

I'd say just run as normal but could say contains spoilers. I'd be shocked if anyone makes it through spoilers who has a phone for a game of this magnitude.

Enjoying the altitude memes which are all over social media. Think the best way to play this game will be to sit in a mid to low block at least in the first half. Not sure Mexico will be able to do the same and I think that's likely going to be the best way to win. Could go horribly wrong, but I think if we start a mad press and dominating the game it's what Mexico want.

England have to win it in the 90 I think. Everything favours the Mexicans from that point onwards.

According to accuweather there's no thunderstorms until 11pm in Mexico so should be no delay

England's normal approach to a match like this would be to fly to Mexico City late, play the match, and leave. That is because the effects of the high altitude really start to kick in around day three. However, FIFA insist that the teams have to train in the stadium the day before the match, meaning that England have had to travel to Mexico City earlier than they would have liked. It also means that they will be getting close to the time when the effects really become a problem.

It was less of a problem when Mexico were the only host country as all the teams had plenty of time to acclimatise. It is a much bigger problem this time. Host countries always have an advantage. That can't be helped, but this added advantage for Mexico is arguably blatantly unfair.

Of course though they made a peculiar exception to that "rule" when it came to Iran.

The Azteca Stadium has issued a shelter-in-place order because of severe weather before the last-16 World Cup tie between Mexico and England.

The match in Mexico City is set to kick off at 18:00 local time on Sunday (01:00 BST Monday).

There has been heavy rain in the city during the day and reports of lightning above the stadium.

The current advice for supporters and media inside the ground is to remain in their seats.
