The Senegal bans from the AFCON final didn't count for the World Cup either, only CAF games.

I couldn’t care less how anyone else other than England does in the tournament. The only international teams I want to lose are Wales and Israel. I don’t care about the US at all.

If USA are knocked out here then it will mean all three host nations are eliminated in the Round of 16 stage.
