I mean they've probably got one more era of guaranteed support but I wouldn't be too sure beyond that. Plus they did waver a bit with support for their previous era.

I did feel that too. I think things were sketchy after Ribbon Around the Bomb.

However, Gary seems to have put them back on the straight and narrow.

Only just noticed Drake swiftly got booted off after only going B-list with an actual lead single.

How times have changed.

Ironically I really liked Janice STFU after many, many years of thinking "WTF is that half-hearted hookless nonsense you just farted out?" several times a year.

Imagine if he became a Radio 2 heritage act.

What's the beef with Noah Kahan? Doors out already?

Feels like R1 are going off people quickly these days, particularly solo acts.

One year you're omnipresent, two years after you're not even making the A-list or sometimes even B-list and your new songs get chucked in the R1 bin forevermore after a month, never to be aired again!

In fact, thinking about it, it looks like we might not actually get a new anguished acoustic chart-dominating bloke this year!

Or he's over already.

Where is Holly Humberstone's new single? They've been all over her this era and she played at Big Weekend and no add for 'White Noise'. It's currently on Radio 2 with a B-B-B run.

Yeh feels like it’s been the last Blossoms era for all their 2020s releases now but they are top of their game so glad they are still supporting them!

she’s getting stray plays rn. I’m assuming they are waiting for a quieter week to add her.

I’ve noticed Jonas Blue’s ‘Edge of Desire’ keeps getting random plays. Anyone know why?

going viral. This and Dai Dai are probably in the same position songs like ‘Satisfaction Skank’ and ‘House Tour’ were in sometime in april. They get the level of plays of something close to the B list but arent actually apart of the playlist cause there isnt enough room. I think this is why ‘Janice’ left too cause thats currently a “recurrent”

This isn’t even on Capital

I'm not surprised at all, I've just read about the BBC's policies on AI music.

"Our priority will be music which is the result of meaningful human creativity – the substantial creative effort and distinctive creative choices of artists.

Artists using AI tools will be considered in our programming – as we expect more to experiment with and adopt this technology over time – but these tools must be used to support human creativity and should not replace a person’s work in developing, shaping or expressing the creative idea itself. For example, simply prompting, generating, selecting, or lightly modifying AI outputs is unlikely to represent meaningful human creativity."

I’ve never understood why they can’t just add them and have a different amount of songs on the playlist for whatever amount of weeks dependent on how much new music there is.

Though that list was only two songs so I felt it was pretty pointless. If it was a more detailed list then yes I’d like to see that.
