Who would have thought RMI would spend 20 non-consecutive weeks at the top?

No-one who's ever heard it? 😅

It must have done.

It;s total on Wednesday's update was 7,124 - even if it didn't sell a single copy for the rest of the week, it would still be number 7 tonight !

And its been totally ignored in the sales write up interesting

Alan Jones only usually mentions the top 75 because that is the chart that Music Week publish - they don't print the top 100.

It would be interesting to hear what happened.

Why is Davido at number 98 on the album chart:

Our usually reliable friend on twitter:

‘Oriade’ by Davido ends the week at #98 on the UK Albums Chart with 1,864 sales.

It pains me to report this, but 5,931 sales were disqualified from the project yesterday. Whether that was due to sales being deemed ineligible or an issue with how they were reported, it ultimately denied Davido what would’ve been his first-ever UK Top 5 album.

Someone else on twitter who appears to be in the know:

Reports from music data trackers also noted that ORIADÉ suffered from a digital metadata glitch upon release, where the project was briefly split into two different versions on digital platforms (one spelled Oriadeand the other Oriadé). This fragmented early data reporting and caused compatibility issues when the final eligible UK sales were being officially audited. Ultimately, this sudden loss of nearly 6,000 units dropped the album from its #2 mid-week projection down to its final official debut of #98 with 1,864 accepted sales

Would've been a #5 debut if those sales weren't disqualified. A massive drop.

I did! I’m sure I got at least 20 paragraphs in.

It sounds like a certain Buzzjack contributor (or more than one).

I know many people here are tired of RMI being #1 now, but there’s no need to write a 5-page essay on why it should go to ACR.

I make that 20/40 songs in the top 40 not released in 2026 😮

Had hoped Material Lover would go top ten for Sienna but glad Great Expectations has instead.
