Yesterday at 16:581 day we should try and arrange a Dolly campaign next week! To all download a particular song of hers to try and challenge for #1. Her deaths had major coverage across TV today. This Morning had segments dedicated to her thoroughly out the show and I imagine BBC had similar. There’s a documentary showing on iPlayer too if anyone’s interested!

The Ed Sheeran week was the most extreme example, so whatever multiplier would've given him a non-controversial number of top 10s that week. I think if he got maybe 5 in the top 10 it might've gone relatively unnoticed and not got complained about in the media and by the public.

I don't think we've seen such an instance where so many songs by an artist may reach new peaks or chart for the first time? I don't think we've seen a death-related chart boost since the 3 track rule came into force this big and the ones we have seen, such as Tina Turner and Aretha Franklin, had already high-peaking hits re-charting. I think the rule will likely stay but we’ll definitely see some big boosts. I wonder how the album chart will work too if several albums outsude studio albums (like Greatest Hits type albums) will re-enter or if they’ll dedicate one particular album for that.
