Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

This week's results:

• Purple Disco Machine x Meek - Test My Luck 5

• Pete Tong x Kölsch - On The Nature of Daylight 4

• D.O.D x Armand Van Helden x Sam Harper - Twice As Nice 1

• Dom Dolla x Skepta x Solomun - Danger Danger 1

• Gorgon City x Caroline Byrne - Only Love 1

• Josh Baker x Rhys from the Sticks - Souvenir 1

• Martin Garrix - This Dream of You 1

• Tiësto x Ch4yn x Cleopard2000 - Hard To be Around 1

Although every single song here got a vote it was a clear two horse race between Pete Tong and Purple Disco Machine, ultimately won by the latter who overtook in the last few hours. It is the German DJ's third victory here following 'Something On My Mind' (2023) and 'Honey Boy' (2024).

carnage!

'Carnage' for me too

Voting Carnage this week, but not a fan of any of the songs I listened to that are here tbh. Carnage gets the edge for me because that’s a killer performance from Little Simz, but wow that production from Chase & Status REALLY lives up to the album title & that final drop is awful. As for Moaning, Aluna sounded great but the drop was really annoying & sometimes unpleasant. Paradise was also really boring and something I’ve heard before but done much better. Canada Dry from Troye’s album clears everything here

Voted for Frequency, good mix of genres.

I voted Frequency too

the two DnB tracks are the best here so would be content with a C&S win though my vote also goes to Frequency

There's also a dark techno/trance part to Frequency so that makes it more interesting.
