Yesterday at 14:121 day We may find out if the modern singles chart is actually fit for purpose this week. There is genuine exciting new music in pop, country and rock spheres released this week. If they are kept out by ancient songs clogging it all up then rules will need to change. Can you imagine if there had been streaming in the 1980's and some of those classic hits but would never have happened due to people still listening to 1960's/1970a music? Lets hope Zach Bryan (and Lana Del Rey), Fontaines DC (and Rosalia), Justice, Tate McRae can all make an impact.
