The Hoff shoots out of his car in 9th place. It's a cover originally recorded by Australian band Ted Mulry Gang in 1975 and topped the Aussie charts for 6 weeks in 1976. 30 years later Knight Rider actor David Hasselhoff released his own version and took the song to number 3 in the UK and spending 3 weeks in the top 40. It was released after a "Get The Hasselhoff To Number 1" campaign which was originally supposed to be 'Looking For Freedom', another song he covered in the 80's. That one didn't chart in the UK but Hoff did have another top 40 single in 1993 with a #35 peak, 'If I Could Say Goodbye'!
