01 New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix)

02 Fontaines D.C. - In ár gCroíthe go deo (Orbital Remix)

03 Kate Bush - The Big Sky (Meteorological Mix)

04 Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough (Schizo Mix)

05 Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under

06 Disclosure - Omen (feat. Sam Smith)

07 MARINA - Radioactive

08 Adele - Hometown Glory (High Contrast Remix)

09 Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Wuh Oh - Hypnotized

10 Zara Larsson & Robyn - Puss Puss (Girls Trip)

11 Texas - Mr Haze (GBX & Paul Keenan Remix)

12 Darin - Give Me Tonight

13 Bananarama - Now or Never

The Darin song reminded me of Chris Brown's 'Don't Wake Me Up' a bit but with more palatable vocals.

I wasn't expecting a prominent sample of 'Love's Unkind' by Donna Summer in that Texas remix, oh my!

TIL Public Domain's 'Operation Blade (Bass in the Place)' samples this New Order remix.

I enjoyed that mix of 'The Big Sky' more than the original! Didgeridoo in the club music

Bananarama demonstrating Jessie Ware levels of fluctuation in my votes by going from top to bottom, apologies!

How can you be doing a trip to Ibiza without Vengaboys! @Calum missed a trick not revealing this round with the iconic song it deserved!

😂 True, bit of an oversight, although I need to find out who was bribing you to call Seventeen Going Under a 'club banger'!

Dance compilation compilers around the world rejoicing at being able to add Sam Fender!

  1. Kate Bush - The Big Sky (Meteorological Mix) (I have to give top marks to Kate for the first time for the discovery of the round, this is an absolutely wonderful find and works so well as a floor filler, bravo!)

  2. Texas - Mr Haze (GBX & Paul Keenan Remix) (the best song they have released since the 00s imo, I already knew this banging clubland remix and hoped it would be played although admittedly don't know any of their other remixes at all. This version is quite faithful to the original and keeps the fab Donna Summer sample in tact, while bringing Sharleen onto the dancefloor, lovely choice)

  3. Sophie Ellis-Bextor & Wuh Oh - Hypnotized (Hypnotise-Ed, this is a very unique track for that prounciation and one of Sophie's best of the last few years, a real banger)

  4. MARINA - Radioactive (She continues to do no wrong, brilliant play and another Marina song that should have been a much bigger hit than it was although that dance sound was a bit of a shock to the system at the time following The Family Jewels)

  5. Disclosure feat. Sam Smith - Omen (a really nice track indeed, very slick and smooth and one that's overlooked these days so it was good to hear it again. I very much hope we see Latch too, which would be even higher for me)

  6. Darin - Give Me Tonight (Another very solid choice from Darin's mentor, I agree with the Don't Wake Me Up comparison, I did always like that song for my sins and this came out around the same time so the production choice and style checks out. This album was full of bangers and even had a Lil Jon feature on it, as well as the fab Nobody Knows)

  7. New Order - Confusion (Pump Panel Reconstruction Mix) (I was certainly banging my head and thinking 'bass in the place London' although would have been fine if it was half as long, as it's basically on a loop throughout)

  8. Adele - Hometown Glory (High Contrast Remix) (I expect strong Adele remixes are few and far between so I feel for their mentor - this is a good rework though)

  9. Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough (Schizo Mix) (I always preferred the Saturdays cover which I know is criminal, obviously very catchy and a classic, but the extended nature of it didn't add too much for me)

  10. Zara Larsson & Robyn - Puss Puss (Girls Trip) (surprisingly enough considering Robyn is on it, it wasn't one of my favourites on the remix project)

  11. Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under (it certainly did stick out in this round! It's obviously a strong song but as I've said before, Sam really came alive for me on the People Watching album, and this is in the like category for me)

  12. Bananarama - Now or Never (quite a nice track, very 2010s sound to it and is suitably clubby for them)

  13. Fontaines D.C. - In ár gCroíthe go deo (Orbital Remix) (I do see why this won Club Bizarre, but I didn't vote for it then - it's decent though)
