Posted April 4, 200719 yr TUESDAY 3 APRIL 2007 Kings Of Leon off to racing start 03 April 2007 - 10:02:26 Source: Music week The new Kings Of Leon album is outselling the new Maximo Park set by almost two to one, according to sales figures released today. Kings Of Leon’s Because Of The Times is on course to claim a comfortable number one, ahead of Maximo Park’s Our Earthly Pleasures, which looks assured of a number two. The other big album release of the week is Timbaland’s Shock Value, which is looking good for a top ten position. Melanie C’s new album, This Time, is only just on course for a top 40 spot. In the singles chart the race for the top spot is very close, with only a few hundred sales separating The Proclaimers’ (I’m Gonna Be) 500 Miles and Avril Lavigne’s Girlfriend. The highest new entry is likely to be the new Erasure single I Could Fall In Love With You, although it is currently not on course for a top 10 placing. Arctic Monkey’s new single Brianstorm, which is only available digitally, is sitting low in the top 20. April 5, 200719 yr i don't see how the Proclaimers are outselling Avril :angry: Every shop I've been too have had loads of Proclaimers left on the shelves and Avril virtually sold out, and downloads are definitely in Avril's favour :blink:
