July 29, 200719 yr In the words of Rihanna, 'Eh'? She's sold about 25k over the last 3 weeks. About 30k of the 70k total from NB has been during the Soulmate period... For someone who was huge as she was last era, selling 70k over the space of 2 singles isn't especially impressive is it? This album's doing terribly compared to the last.

Indeed it is :( You can thank the label for that, for releasing Babies. Still, as has just been said, up 4 places to 24 this week :D I bought it and I have to say it's an immediately amazing album.

Still, as has just been said, up 4 places to 24 this week :D I bought it and I have to say it's an immediately amazing album. Hence my comment on textbook case on how not to release an album  Bad lead single choice, bad album title, bad image, bad album cover. etc etc She's going to struggle to go platinum imo :(

July 29, 200719 yr Hence my comment on textbook case on how not to release an album  Bad lead single choice, bad album title, bad image, bad album cover. etc etc She's going to struggle to go platinum imo :( Again, you're right on all those counts :( What is needed is a brilliant third single choice - either from the current selection of songs or a new track like the Americans are getting - and a nice cover. The album is selling itself atm, just needs to keep doing so.

July 29, 200719 yr Thats great for Natasha!! unlike SEB and Mutya who also had albums peak in the top 10 then plummet she's actually coming back, I agree in comparison to Unwritten its not done as good but at least its attempting to make a comeback, i imagine the next single will continue to help it climb. OMG out of the top 10 after 1 week...another song i thought would be bigger...i wonder where this will rank sales-wise for lily, before or after Alfie?
July 29, 200719 yr Author The Manics almost fell out of the top 10 in the end :o I knew it would, I was clutching at straws when I predicted it at #5 earlier
