You desperately need to broaden your musical horizons. I'd crash the server if I was to ost a list of the number of British acts who "crossed over to the rest of the world" between the Beatles and the Spice Girls.

Well I cnt think of any pop group esp a female group but the bottom line is this; UK disses the SG all the time and the girls keep proving them wrong (however they still diss them)

Have you ever seen them Live? I take that as a no.

Spice Girls are FANTASTIC live and they have nothing to prove.

they aren't coming back and this is just a frewell tour so why should they pefrom live (british public is gnna diss dem anyway)

From day one British ppl love to diss them.....it's such a shame as they are the only british talent since the beatles to really cross over to the rest of the world.

Americans are waaaayyyy more loyal and even the non-fans respect them.

I think Spice girls should just move to America cos they get waaayyyy more respect there than this country.

How can you say on one hand the British people love to diss them, and yet earlier you were saying how their concerts here had sold out in 38 seconds or so? They were good in the past but this single is total pants - even fans aren't buying it. Surely if everyone of those people who bought a concert ticket also did just one download each - they'd have knocked Leona and everyone else sideways.

I agree on your last sentence though.

Just a random thought.

everyone of those people who bought a concert ticket als

If everyone who bought a TAKE THAT ticket also bought or downloaded Rule The World, it also would be number one for MONTHS. Unfortunately it never happened.

And they probably would have done ... had it not been for Leona ... but the Spice Girls song is looking as though it'll be hard pushed to even make number one - and they're going to be facing Leona's sales while they are on the wane (but still good). Take That faced her at her most fearsome. I just don't understand what seems to have gone wrong in the Spice Girls camp (apart from the song being rubbish).

Anyway Headlines is on its way up the US charts - it may even make number one there.

And there's no need to put Take That in capitals. I'm not blind!

It looks like TT will be number 2 for the fourth week running behind Leona! :o

ROTFL, joke of the month!

Some of the Sunday papers have them number 3 with Kylie at 2. Kylie did seem to be going up on the downloads (that sounds weird) yesterday. CIN did Kylie some good then.

Glad it raised a titter - I wanted to see what the reaction would be without putting one of these ..., or even these ... :w00t: after the comment!

Having said that - it is inside the Billboard 100 chart! And for all we know ... it could go up! Never say Never!

Well actually the gap between TT, Kylie and Timbaland was less then 1k on Friday :o So Kylie could climb back up!

Guarranteed

It will not enter the top 10 ;)

im looking frward to seeing the charts this week especially the top 5 singles and the music report which i hope has loads of sales info this week
i hope spice girls are number 1 next week because tbh leona's song was good to begin with but now theres way too much hype over her and i don't want to think about it being number 1 for weeks on end as i'm already bored of it. i just can't see, apart from spice girls, who else could knock her off.

Well now you know how some of us felt when a certain song was number 1 for what seemed an age not so long ago. I'd say if Rihanna could keep Umbrella at number 1 for ten weeks, then Leona's song has got a lot more mileage still in it yet. I haven't even bought it yet so I might just do that ... for no other reason other than I'm actually starting to like it. Now that she's gone this far, I don't think I'd have any objection in her staying there till Christmas!

sky news reported that the Spice Girls mimed a whole 45 min gig in LA.

Shame for CIN but they really don't deserve to sell any records.

They did but the articles went on to say that the audience didn't seem to mind, they were just happy to see them together. If you can make easy money ... why not?

Am I the only one to find this post a bit shocking?

It's like if you're saying that they're only back for the money and they don't give a damn about music and fans...

Doing whole mimed concerts is a real shame. I would never forgive GA to do a whole mimed show on Tour, and I can't understand how a fan can find some excuses to such an irrespectful behaviour...

I'm not a Spice Girls fan. Tell a lie ... I grudgingly liked a couple of their songs back in the 90's, but I'm not a fan. And I certainly wouldn't pay to watch them (miming or singing).

Norma

And I'm sorry ... going off track again back to the predictions.

Leona number 1 and either Kylie, TT, or that Timbaland fella at number 2. Spices - somewhere in the top 15.
