The popstar believes that if more established music writers like Gary Barlow or Guy Chambers had written their hits, they would be received as classics.

 I don't think so dear, your lyrics aren't THAT good!

put in mcfly she falls alseep or too close for comfort into youtube have a listen then come back and say that.

they don't sound like Mcfly at all but sadly they never got released even thought they had great reviews

People slate mcfly because they are a pop band thats all.

Mcfly sell out arena tours very well and seeing more money is made in tours then Mcfly are in no danger of being dropped.

The 4th Studio album!

isn't going to be rushed like motion in the ocean it will ahve a whole new sound and released end july

with first single around march

and yet a nother arena tur planned(another sell out)

Everyone has their opinions but when it comes to mcfly on here people just take the p***

Edited by its me

like I said earlier the only McFly song i like is Transylvania and I'm sure they have other good songs like the one mentioned above-but the songs they actually release are in no way lyrical genius. Unless they release better songs you claim that they have, they're not going to get any credit.
Well lets see:

"Do do do do do, do. She's got a lip ring and five colours in her hair". AMAZING songwriting skills, well done. Wouldn't surprise me if they also wrote Busted's 'Year 3000'. They strip of at G.A.Y. to promote their albums, out of a career with 7 number #1's, they've only released ONE good song. Yet (as much as I can't stand Oasis), they want to be included as the same leauge as them? :o

Spot on mate.. Any "band" who lip-synchs at G.A.Y (which is frankly one of the most excruciatingly awful club nights that it has ever been my displeasure to ever attend, if I were a gay man, I'd be utterly embarrassed that this was how my culture was being represented...) frankly deserves no credibility at all... By what standards do they want to be judged exactly...? Oasis? Radiohead? Puh-leeeeeeeezeeee..... -_-

No, that's not it at all.. We're slating them because their actions are at odds with their claims to any kind of "rock" credibility. If they want to be a Pop band, then they should be so and quit whining about not having any "cred"....

I think they release far too much "samey" material to get any credibility, it's all too rushed and to be releasing a 5th album in less than 4 years is what I call rushed.

Production-line innit...? No thought or any real artistry going into any of their releases obviously.... -_-

I think thats the whole point of McFly - they've become a manufacturing factory where the formula is the same, there's not really a difference in structure to any of them - in a sense they've become like Westlife. There's nothing wrong with it but when they demand for credibility when they can't even sell 100,000 sales for a #1 record - bearing in mind because of download sales, sales for singles how become huge compared to the last couple of years.

I'm starting to wonder whether McFly are more manufactured then Girls Aloud or Westlife or any other pop band - yes i know they write their own material, whereas Girls Aloud and Westlife don't - but at least they'll admit to it.

I reason to why GA deserve a little respect, is because they know they're manufactured, and they have no problem with it, they just move away from it.

Agree with you completly! And they can even take the mickey out of themselves being manufactured. I'm sure the video for Sexy! No No No and the album being called Tangled Up is about them being manufactured. But they don't care about that! I love Girls Aloud, but if they carried on the way McFly then i would have disowned them a long time ago.

Actually i do worry what McFly might do if they release another album, i mean - they took their clothes off for the 3rd album, took their clothes off and set fire to themselves in unpleasentry areas for the Greatest Hits - what will they do next just to get an extra 5 copies sold of an album?

Loads of pop artists take their clothes off, especially pop and rnb artists. Girls Aloud, Britney, Christina, Pussycat Dolls have ALL dressed very provocatively on more than one occasion. About every other urban/hip-hop/rap/dance video seems to have girls in it wearing not much. Taking clothes off is not a new way of selling records. Once again, people giving McFly stick for something others have been doing for a long time yet call them 'desperate'.

I don't like McFly, they have the odd good song but most is samey rubbish, I don't think they deserve to get more credit but they do deserve a hell of a lot less stick!

I merely used the clothes off as a point of where it started going a bit blah, I'm fully aware that other performers take their clothes off, its been happening long enough. But you have to admit each year its like they have to top what they did before, thats what i said about one year taking clothes off, next setting fire to themselves - so what will be next? Electricuting themselves with electric guitars and a bucket of water?
Maybe it is a step too far but what's wrong with varying promo techniques each time?

The thought of someone killing themselves just to get a #1 record does terrify me. I don't McFly, but i wouldn't want them dead just for a #1

Who cares?

I hate the way THEY try and bleed their fans dry of every penny they have and yes I ay they because the record label may be behind it but surely if they want to be taken seriously they would actually not participate in the ridiculous scams?

And tbh I don't actually see why we should praise them for their lyrics - they're not very good are they? You'd expect 10 year olds to come up with the stuff theyve produced in the past.

its the label they decide whats going to be released

the only reason Transylvania was released because it had some good reviews and seemed popular with fans.

it won't be a 5th album it will be 4th

Greatest hits really don't count

so thast an album for every year they have been together if you include the greatest hits

The 4th Studio Mcfly are taking alot longer this time as motion in the ocean was rushed

they have been working on it for most of the year and record it jan/feb

and is due for released end of july with a first single march time

I don't think the label will mess up this time around i actually think the right tracks will be released and not rushed

Before you post, locate the Caps Lock button, and learn the rules of punctuation.

Some artists can't do both but it doesn't matter. Girls Aloud can barely sell their albums but they have huge arena tours, wheras the sugababes have conistantly huge album sales, yet can't sell out small/medium sized venues. Would you say either of them are in danger of being dropped?

Excuse you, your lack of research is retarded.

The Sugababes sell out midsize venues. some of their new tour dates are already sold out. and the rest are as good as. <_<

ON the subject of song writing. Nobody notices the lack of input from GA in their songs. Xenomaina never get the credit they deserve. And my god they deserve a lot more credit than mcfly.
