Is robbie bored for a promo?

If you mean did he do any promo then the answer is no. He has done absolutely none -_- And his video is only just starting to get show on tv on a regular basis

He is more concered with Soccer aid it seems -_-

Edited by Scotty.

I don't Robbie will be bothered considering the album was has sold over 1.5m ;)

YAY! For Matt and The Ordinary Boys being top 10! :cheer: (Just bought both ^_^ )

I'm disappointed that Sandi Thom is only at #2, it would have been great if it made number 1 as it would have been the perfect two fingers up to Radio 1 who refused to playlist it. Expecially with the increasing avalanche of criticism that the station is rightly picking up for failing to promote British artists (unlike Radio2; Virgin or XFM).

After all she is only a 23 year-old Scottish singer-songwriter - exactly the sort of act that Radio 1 SHOULD be promoting under the agreement of the BBC license fee. (But that is another discussion)

To think a few months ago they A-listed the US chart-topper D4L's Laffy Taffy single for three weeks running & Sara Cox made it Record Of the week yet it failed to make the Top40!

It is a sad indictment of the flagship Radio station that Radio1 has done such a bad job of promoting new British acts that Radio2 has overtaken them in that respect (probably because they have a lot more DJs who care about music & know what they are talking aboutand can spot superior music talent quicker).

In the last two years Radio 2 has A-playlisted new talent KT Tunstall; Corinne Bailey Rae; Lucie Silvas; Scissor Sisters; Razorlight; The Killers; (the revitalised) Embrace; The Feeling & Nerina Pallot to name a few examples before Radio1.

I hope everyone is buying the Nerina Pallot album as it is brilliant & worth buying as there are 5 or 6 other tracks on her "Fires" album as good as the single.

Still on a happier note  at Robbie's midweek position. A mediocre song from a mediocre album. While the single remix which still has not broken into I-Tunes Top100 sounds like the National Lottery bedding music as the balls are coming during the draw IMHO.

The Darkness had a short lived reign. The quicker they rise the quicker they fall - maybe?

I always did think they were pretty dire :puke:

FM

Daz will probably drop as most of his sales would come a day or so after Eurovision.

But I said that about the Ordinary Boys and then they climbed during the week and then another six places the next week.

hope p!nk can get her second solo number 1 next week

and also helps if the singer turns out to be a tit with an undeserved ego.

and the fact we've got the feeling to revist all the hack's guilty pleasures

YAY! well done Radio 2 -_- Radio 1's list is diverse and has a younger audience than Radio 2 so I don't think a lot of the audience of Radio 1 would listen to Sandi Thom myself. As I said Radio 1 have lots of different types of music and have shows for different types of music where as Radio 2 is the same all the time, just play the same bland songs all the time. -_-

I just realised The Feeling are in the Top 10 :o

:cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Gnarls AGAIN! :puke2:

Come on Sandi! :arrr:

Maybe they haven't playlisted it because it's god damn awful... They have loads of British artists on their playlist from all genres... They support US stuff too, it's whats popular with their target audience. Virgin and R2 play Sandi Thom.. I somehow doubt that Radio 1 listeners will be interested in a fair amount of stuff that they playlisted

why, the album will no doubt explode now!

I'm sure the album will start rising more now, but I thought the single was a surefire top 10, if not top 5. The song deserves a better position.
