The trademarking of a LGBTQ+ statement 'rainbow women' is apauling, specially for someone who considers themselves as a LGBTQ ally.

To throw some royalty/regal aesthetics to it, is even more insulting to be honest.

Not here for this.

I also find this rainbow stuff hard to take when she put out a statement denying or trying to deny she and Mel B shagged like she was ashamed of it.

My theory is rainbow women is as symbol for strong women and that trailer sees her as the Virgin Queen who was a strong woman in history.

Maybe there is other promotional trailers coming to promote the project? I hope we do get a new song.

Rainbow Woman is written by Geri and Daniel Meskell. Meskell also co-wrote Angels In Chains with Geri.

Already starting controversy within the Buzzjack forum with only a snippet - ONLY OUR GERITA!

To be honest, being 'controversial' is all she has as an artist lol

why do people call her "gerita" ?
why do people call her "gerita" ?

That comes from the Ride It video!

lol it actually comes from way before that, from when she tried to convince everyone she was spanish - she's Gerita!

Oh dear that's quite interesting! Being a Spanish man myself, "ita" or "-ito" name endings are meant to sound cutesy-wutesy, but in her case sounds plain odd

I am screaming at the video. She really does think she is part of the royal family, doesn't she

Thank God for the Mels. I will go to a Spice concert - if that ever happens - only for these two. The others are BAF.

I will say it is a relief to see her looking gorgeous in something not white on her social media profile pic.

Money and status has definitely changed Victoria and Geri. The other 3 seem like exactly the same people to me as they always were just more mature these days.

I dont think it changed her at all. She was always focused on attention and money/power. That was her whole MO. The only thing that she has changed is that she is more settled, but that is something she always wanted to do anyway - she used to say that herself.

Money and power just allowed her to do that without worrying about getting a job or money. Now that she doesnt *have to*, her obsessions with royalty and power are just at the surface without her having to pretend to be this super liberal person lol

Not that Gerita was ever my fave, but I’m kinda sad to her acting this way. The whole royal obsession is pathetic. And this desperate housewife image has no girl power.

And don’t let me start with what she said about ‘lesbian feminism’. This will be such bad publicity if she’s going to release an LGBTQ+ inclusive book.

Shall we wait and see what it is before we all drag poor Geri to the pits of hell. I'm not massively fond of her either tbh but some of the comments, anyone would think she had personally put LGBTQ+ into a concentration camp while wearing royal attire!

I think the royal theme is an obvious nod to Elizabeth I personally, nothing to do with Geri seeing herself as a royal person (and she never did it was the Ginger persona which has always had showgirl / pop princess vibes anyway), but lets wait and see before we throw her into the lion pit.
