Totally agree with the above comments regarding GA getting mentioned every 5 seconds - Very tiresome!

 

On any given day, if you were visiting BuzzJack for the first time, and were reading this page or the chart discussion on Sunday, you'd think you were in a Girls Aloud forum :lol:.

 

There are times when I've wanted to comment on the group from a chart perspective, but I know better :lol:, because if you make a single comment which doesn't resemble "yay for Girls Aloud", you then incur the wrath of their fans :lol:.

 

 

But you don't hear Destiny's Child or Bananarama fans harping about how they're the greatest act in music ever for the past five years now...

 

Girls Aloud fanatics are more pompous than any other girl group's loons about how incredible they are... and yet I don't see other pop acts whored everywhere from the likes of W@nkjustice who are slammed with praise like those annoying skanks are. I don't see Robyn or Roisin Murphy, two much more preponderant pop acts getting anywhere near the exposure that Girls Aloud do. :angry:

 

Erm, maybe thats because destinys child and bananarama havent had a song out for years and GA havent stopped for the last 5 years? Just a minor detail.

 

Also, note the name POPjustice. They give GA lots of praise because they are the popiest pop in the UK right now and yet again, if you don't like it, go to an indie site or something, you can read page after page of GA dissing there.

But there isn't a week that goes by that there ISN'T A Girls Aloud Vs. Sugababes altercation bound to happen from the pettiness of one of those respective parties. (Like for example, whenever one comments on why "Denial" is A-Listed on Radio 1, one always makes a snide remark that Sugababes are dependent on the commercial stations for their success & that they have the lower fanbase. The record sales don't lie!)

 

And most people who boast about the Sugababes don't claim that they're the best pop act of all time while people here always say that Girls Aloud are the most legendary act ever: more than the Supremes, more than Kate Bush, more than the Pet Shop Boys. :manson: Comparing them to Take That is laughable... there are a good number of Take That fanatics here but you don't hear about how superlative & wonderful they are day by day, because most of their fans know when not to give superfluous acclaim to them on a chart board - their chart numbers speak for themselves!

If you don't like Girls Aloud, fine, just don't talk/think about them, your not made to come on here to read what thier fans think of them! it's your choice, just as it's theirs to write the stuff!

In fairness, tour sales speak for themselves too.

 

I think you are being unfair and generalising way too much. If i think GA are the best girl band ever, thats my opinion, if everyone else thinks its the spice girls, that won't alter my opinion and i wouldn't slate them for it. To be honest, its really not easy having a debate with someone who you know is bitter towards GA fans just because they get mentioned a lot here - there isn't really much you can say to that.

I think it will be top 60 this week, and top 40 next week. It isn't released for another 4 weeks though, so I hope they move it up a week.

Its not our fault that Girls aloud have just released a songs quite close together and people talk about them! I mean Call The Shots has just left the charts in time for Cant Speak French so GA fans are bound to be happy and want to talk about GA and their songs...

 

And i also think GA deserve to be talked about as a band! Because whether you like it or not, they are one of the most popular acts at the moment!

 

I think people are just jealous because this song is doing better than they thought/hoped it would! And I hope you know that the more you moan the more that GA fans are gonna talk about them! Your allowed to talk about your favourite artists as well as GA fans are allowed to talk about theirs! And it may seem like there are more posts about GA this week because A) they have just released a song and its charting this week and B ) because it is going head-to-head with the Sugababes! (The 2 most successful Girl Bands in the UK at this time) And I have seen many more people talk about Sugababes than GA :blink:

Sorry but i dont know ANYONE that has boasted about GA being the most Legendary act ever!! (Have you gone into the Girls Aloud discussion group)? Because if you have then they are BOUND to say that! Just like you are allowed to say that about your favourite artists and bands! We all have different opinions on who we think are the most "legendary acts ever" We can't ALL like the same thing now can we????
