Can someone explain why REM's single isn't any higher than just Top 100??

Their 2nd and 3rd single from their (underwhelming) last album even made the top 40, as did all of their singles from 1991 onwards, so why not this one??

They staggered the release dates too much, the download came out over a month ago and then CD One a couple of weeks later and CD two this week...so its been yo-yoing up and down the chart...if they released all formats at the same time they would have made top 40

Cant believe how much James Blunt has flopped with the new singles and album.

 

I wouldn't say he's actually flopped as he's sold quite well and not done too badly with worldwide sales, but it's not even managed a quarter of the sales in total, that he had with his debut album.

They were in the top 40 all the time, unless it was earlier this week you're talking about.

 

Its odd how they drop so fast from final position (Sunday) to the first few midweeks but then start climbing again throughout the week
