The accompanying debut album ME AGAINST MYSELF (2004) was a commercial and critical smash û successfully combining slick R&B, hip hop, desi beats and Bollywood samples. The album sold well in India where Jay Sean also performed in a Bollywood flick. Sophomore effort MY OWN WAY (2008) continued the theme but with production duties shared between Rishi Rich, Timbaland, Brian McKnight and The Underdogs amongst others. - HMV Video here: hNYxuZHhmEM track listing 1. May 11, 200818 yr Author 36 (from 30) Ashlee Simpson - Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya) [D] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1768688.JPG Chart Run: 34-30-36 [3 wks] Release date: 19-5-2008 Availability: pre-order now Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 1768688 Label: GEFFEN Ashlee Simpson, younger sister of singer Jessica Simpson, is one of the most fascinating pop-culture phenomena of the early 2000s. Following a stint on the squeaky-clean television drama "7th Heaven," the prefabricated sensation's singing career was launched in 2004 with the release of AUTOBIOGRAPHY. Despite an infamous lip-synching debacle on SNL, fans continued to gobble up Ashlee's pop take on alternative rock. Simpson is an intriguing study in insta-fame and, as her 2005 release I AM ME proved, a dependable source for catchy chart toppers. - HMV Video here: K5UoVKV1VsY track listing 1. May 11, 200818 yr Oh, poor Ashlee. :( I think she has peaked now, probably. Hurrah for Santogold charting in the Top 40 though! :D I'm sure she'll climb at least into the Top 30 later on, too. I bought the CD yesterday; great artwork. But rubbish tracklist! :heehee:
