sodding football, i hate it so much and then next week they move DW to next fortnight for Eurovision...great...NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if Felicity Kendal's character dies, and she isnt a baddie, the episode IS going to lose at least 2 marks , but im hoping this story may be the best of the series ahead of another Steven Moffat 2 parter woo!!!!

Another time change 7pm  and if the football goes into extra time, it be on even later.

the footie wouldn't have effected it :P they would have pulled OutTake TV, and maybe pushed it back 5/10 minutes at most :P

I don't know how excited I am about this episode. I guess I'm just peeing myself with excitement for the 2 parter

Right, I'm going to start by making quite a strong statement ahead of an exciting and scary looking brilliant 2 parter...

THIS IS THE BEST EPISODE OF THE SERIES SO FAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I loved it  I was hooked from start to finish

The episode was written brilliantly, the acting was superb too, I loved both characters that Fonella (i hope ive spelt it right) and Felicity played, and I thought the murder mystery idea was brilliant, a nice diversion from the usual DW formula

I dont know what else top praise it for, it was a brilliant episode and my fave of S4, I also want to say that Catherine Tate, for me, was at her most consistent acting wise for the whole series, hopefully this is the start of her fitting into the role alot better.

Such a great episode, now here's my mark, now if they put the dvd's out in this order (123), (4567), (8910) and (111213) then this episode will save a weak collection for me, so:

Series 4, Episode 7 gets a mark of, drum roll please,

:o  :cheer:   :dancing:

But it was pretty damn amazing considering its only the 3rd episode i've ever seen

Not my favourite episode of the series but it was alright I can't seem to pick any good moments from it rating 4/10

No Dr. Who next week.

Thought it was the best episode of the series so far, had me hooked!

xXx

I thought it was by far and away the best episode of this series. It was the first episode that really got me hooked this series.

Loved the whole concept of the episode, and it was very well written. Had some reallyy good actors in it to make up the guest cast this episode too.

Really good episode IMO! :D

Not too keen on the Giant Wasps though

But the acting was fantastic, and I loved Agatha's character, it all fitted nicely ^_^

On the one hand it was good to see an outside of the box episode of Dr Who. On the other hand if I wanted to watch a Murder Mystery type programme I'd watch Poirot with David Suchet or Murder She Wrote with Angela Lansbury, etc....

Again, the acting was top notch, this was definitely Catherine Tate's best episode so far, but the writing was less so, with Agatha's character not being able to grasp the concept of Talkinng Pictures a particular low note, especially as it was well known in the newspapers at the time that they were on their way with the Jazz Singer in 1927 less than a year after this was set. However, I liked the fact that Agatha's character had a lack of confidence in her abilities, in stark contrast to the Will Shakespeare character in an earlier series.

I absolutely loved this episode. Definitely the best in the series so far!

Did the guy zzzzing (I don't know how to write it phonetically but you know when he was turning into the wasp?) make anyone else laugh though? I thought it was hilarious!

It was good, but I think most of my enthusiasm has been drawn to the 2 parter in a fortnight. Probably the best episode this series so far though :D

I loved it! It had me and my friend laughing quite a bit, mostly at Catherine Tate's fake-poshness, or the way she just got really engrossed in it like she was inside a TV show or something  The funniest thing of all was the fact that it was a giant wasp  They could've invented a new alien but no, we'll just make it a giant wasp

I thought the explanation at the end was a bit lame, but all in all definitely the best episode so far ^_^

9/10

7.5/10

probably would have been at least a 9 if it wasn't for Catherine Tate, she just wrecks it with too much Comedy, and I hated it when the Vicar was turning into a wasp - Zzz zzz was very stupid.

hmm.

I've got to admit...I didn't actually understand the explanantion at the end. A bit too complicated for my simple mind to grasp

Hands down best episode of Dr Who this series.

Acting and plot were both superb, and it was an all round very enetertaining spoof/tribute.

No one else has mentioned the many Agatha Christe book titles that were uttered as script (They Do It With Mirrors, Taken At The Flood, Death Comes As The End, Cards On The Table to name but a few) - this made it for me.

The whole look of the episode was amazing, and Catherine Tate was again great. Although, everyone was acted off the screen by both the actress playing Christie and Felicity Kendall.
