I think there is a lot of momentum with this and as the song is already Number 1 on Itunes, it will probably get more radio coverage throughout the week. It'll probably go top 10 next week and then peak within the Top 3

i think no1 in early mids this week falling to top 5 by end of week. I think people will download this all week though when they see it on itunes main page.
If George Sampson appears on GMTV this week (bound to) & they mention that Singing in the rain is back in the charts then sales will pick up momentum.

The majority of potential buyers it has left probably still don't yet know who it's by, causing a knock-on effect of sales through the week. I think it has the mileage to stay at #1 all week (and then fall) - especially when the media pick up on it after the first midweek flash.

How many viewers did the final get? 10 million? I can see 35,000 of those downloading it for sure.

13 million, I believe :o

People will be talking about this guy for most of this week and he's bound to be on chat shows. With people watching it back on youtube etc, they may just want the song on their ipods too.

Plus, like people said, if this gets in the papers, there will be no stopping it as people love a bit of hype.

It will entirely depend on how long it can keep up the momentum at the moment it's outselling Rihanna by more than 2:1 on iTunes alone and is still on the up. Over 13 million people watched BGT final it'd only take 40k (0.03%) of them to download Singin' In The Rain for it to be No1 this week. It’d be dangerous to discount it especially if it picks up radio play I think a lot of commercial radio stations will be caning it next week…
OK, that was random! Just went on iTunes and it was #1... :???:  I seriously had to find out how and why, so now I know. :smoke:
Top 5, i don't think Britain's Got Talent can push the song straight to number one :o :o
Top 5 at a push. Downloads will peter out later on in the week...

Exactly what I was going to say. The same thing happened to David Cook (but much lower down).

FFS why do people download songs just because they're on bloody adverts or TV Shows? Especially such a pointless show like this one

Its so far ahead at #1 on iTunes and has so many other mixes in there #1 unfortunately -_- Then again at least this isn't bad, rather have this than Rihanna at #1.

I went for top three, although it wouldn't surprise me if it reached #1 or the lower end of the top ten.
