They could do quite well touring I guess but as a chart force they are dead.

 

 

Touring is where the money is these days. There really isn't that much to be made from record sales anymore, its why the record labels want a cut of the profits made from the tour tickets and more importantly merchandise. Blue have seen how much other reunited bands are making from their tours, so who can blame them if they want to give it a go. It doesn't matter whether they become a chart force again people want to go to a concert and have a great time. This is why all the reunited bands are doing so well at the box office, they are known acts, with large back catalogs of songs and most of them know how to put on a good show. The general public don't want to shell out money to see a band that has only got a couple of songs.

Oh no, westlife is awful enough to bear...

theyd be easier to wipe out if they are all in one place i guess :)

I was quite a big fan of them when they were around, but im not so sure how popular they would be now due to so many of the other boy bands eg take that reuniting. :)

Blue Reunion Confirmed

All Rise boyband are to reunite for summer gig...

Blue have announced that the rumours are true and they will be reforming.

 

There has been speculation surrounding whether the boys would reunite for some time but the band confirmed the news this morning at Capital FM.

 

The boyband – Lee Ryan, Duncan James, Simon Webbe and Antony Costa who enjoyed a string of hits including If You Come Back are indeed back and will play Capital FM’s Summertime Ball at the Emirates Stadium on 7th June.

 

The lads refused to reveal whether there would be any new material with Simon stating: “We don’t want to give anything away.”

 

The All Rise hit makers sold 7 million albums and 4 million singles before splitting in 2005 and have now become the latest boyband to reform.

 

They will follow in the footsteps of Take That and Boyzone who have all enjoyed further success since their comebacks.

 

Duncan said of their reunion:” We’re absolutely so ecstatic to be back together: We met up a couple of weeks ago to talk about it and we are so excited. I think we’re going to enjoy it even more the second time round.”

 

It's good news for all those Blue fans out there and we can’t wait to see what the boys have in store either…Keep it MTV News for any further developments.

I liked their uptempo/midtempo tracks, but not their ballads (with the exception of If You Come Back)

I liked Blue. What happened to the musical that Duncan was said to have the male lead for? I can't see him being able to do both.

Yea only last week he was announced for role in Legally Blonde-The Musical, guess hes doing both, unless this is a one-off performance...

I've just noticed that Legally Blonde isn't opening until Jan 2010. If they're quick they may get the reunion in.
