After a quiet few weeks the first week of July looks like a heck of a battle!

Dizzee Rascal, Basshunter, Jordin Sparks and Kid Rock all release physically while I suspect Madonna and Ting Tings will be close to the top 10 (both are released 14th).

With big hits already top 10 like Coldplay, Neyo and possibly even Ironik, who will get the biggest hit and be #1?

I suspect Dizzee Rascal at the moment though it wouldnt suprise me if Basshunter came close either! Jordin Sparks is also a possibly, i mean its jumped very quickly so far! And i think Kid Rock is gonna be a dark horse, getting good airplay and already #1 on itunes video chart (and sweet home alabama is hoovering thanks to it too), though i suspect both kid and jordin will hang around for a while over the summer.

Any predictions/suggestions?

I still haven't heard the Kid Rock track yet, I can't really judge that, Basshunter has already had a #1, and his follow up is not that really great, I don't think he get #1 this time round, but easily Top 10, Dizzee Rascal's track is a load of pants, but wouldn't surprise me if it be the next #1, Jordin Sparks will probably peak too early.

I'm hoping Ne'Yo will stick around for a while, and hopefully Madonna might get her second #1 of the year.

Also I think Busta Rhymes & Linkin Park could be a dark horse.

Sweet Home Werewolves Of London, Alabama

I'd love Kid Rock to do it, I love i at the moment. Failing that Dizzee. As long as it's not Jordin and Chris 'waiting for my balls to drop' Brown though...

A bit random this question, considering that all these songs might be top 10 in that week or might get on downloads earlier (or might be some flops inside there :P ).

Kid Rock's song is good, and inside the Youtube Top 50 is already a top 30 :cheer: But I dunnot think this song will be that big in UK starting his first week :teresa:

Basshunter and Jordin Sparks might represent also some small dissapointments for the Uk chart, so I really dunnot see such a deadly week ;) xox.

I think it will be Jordin Sparks.

The new Kid Rock track isnt all that great...

Jordin will hopefully be number 1 for AT LEAST a week. But Calvin Harris and Dizzee's new one is really shockingly good, so do not rule that one out just yet ^_^

Jordin will be #02. There's always an amazing RnB female ballad in the summer that stalls at #02. Mariah - We Belong Together, Rihanna - Unfaithful, Fergie - Big Girls Dont Cry ... :P

:o You are so right :o :( but Great anyway seeing as I wasnt expecting it to reach Top 10 until its first week inside the top 40 :o

Ugh, I hope to God Kid Rock won't get #1...absolutely FOUL.

If there's any justice, Dizzee will get it, but I doubt it really. Don't get the hate...it's like anything that's mainstream rap on here is immediately passed off as c**p even when Dizzee Rascal has recieved universal acclaim for all three of his albums...

come dance wiv me. B)

I really am not a fan of Dizzee its just not what im into, but i do Love his new one :D

That's fine, haha, but there's a difference to someone not being your thing and then saying that their music is horrible. ;D

That's not true...

It's not *just* mainstream rap, but all rap, I hate. :)

I particularly resent it when it masquerades as dance music, as then I can't even avoid it on MTV Dance. :(

Surely I'm not the only one who feels a little uneasy about the title of this thread...

I pray to God it isn't Basshunter

This song's already been #1 (it's exactlt the same as Now You're Gone )

What about Natasha Bedingfield? I wouldn't completely rule her out with what is easily a career best...

You weren't the first to notice it. The first thing I thought of was the 7th of July London bombings if that's what you meant.

As for this thread, I think Kid Rock will probably be the #1, I haven't heard it but I know it has a lot of hype surrounding it.
