July 1, 200817 yr Actually they do. In January, Basshunter was at 14 on downloads only and he jumped to number 1 when the physical was released. Not saying that the same thing will happen but there is a chance. a lot of factors surround a big jump like that as well as a physical release. I don't remember exactly but Now You're Gone probably had heavy advertising and increased airplay, video play combined with the fact that the song was climbing quickly on iTunes...its just a coincidence that sometimes these climbs happen on the week of the physical release...it probably would have gone at least 14-2 that week even if the physical hadn't come out.

July 1, 200817 yr 100% spot on prediction there as usual :P You should play the prediction games. But then you'll beat me! :P
July 1, 200817 yr You should play the prediction games. But then you'll beat me! :P nah, my 'predicta threads' are the extent to my predicting abilities  it's pretty easy to work stuff like this out Dizzee was obviously going to be No.1 because of his huge iTunes lead, Ne-Yo was going to be at No.2 because of his physical advantage. I figured that Jordin would be ahead of Coldplay due to their sales being so close last week and with Jordin still growing it seemed quite possible that she would be slightly ahead. And then Basshunter I figured should have sold enough by now to scrape into the top five, but not as high yet as No.2...as I write the chart commentary I follow every aspect of the chart so closely that more often than not I can tell exactly what will enter where and how much it's likely to sell... but as it's July it's a bit late to start entering a competition that's been going on for god knows how long :heehee:
July 1, 200817 yr Mariah is #37 with 'Bye Bye' I can't remember what the Madonna positions were, they are a few pages back. I think it was GI2M up 3, 4M down 4 and HC down 6. Thanks.
July 1, 200817 yr Imagine how close it could have been if Jordin saved her download until this week and went head-to-head with Basshunter and Dizzee :o
