Has this Mikey/Addy situation been resolved then? I still don't agree with having national finals myself, just causes confusion. Choose an artist and stick with it guys. :smoke:

Surely the best way to solve this problem in the future is just to have a simple rule of first person to confirm gets it.

 

Have fancy complex national finals if you want, but if somebody else "steals" one of your NF acts then tough luck.

 

Let's face it, national finals aren't nescessary. They make it more interesting, but they really shouldn't be such a big part that they prevent others from using certain artists.

They hardly prevent others from using certain artists - again, people just need to be patient! :P Sometimes people are actually very conflicted over whether to use a certain artist or not - if anything, that rule would just cause more conflict, as I'm sure we'd have a scenario where somebody feeling rather desperate for their next good result just nabs somebody doing well in somebody else's NF. I don't understand why people can't just have a little patience and wait for the NF to end for crying out loud :lol:

Only because Eurovision was in the middle of it all! It only lasted about 10 days, which would've been barely anything considering I started pretty much immediately after the end of BJSC VI :P

But still it meant you had a dozen or so artist reserved.

 

If everybody did that it would mean hundreds of artists that were off-limits.

 

It is just so much simpler if all artists are up for grabs until one is officially confirmed.

Again though, they're only off-limits until the NF is over! :lol: If we're really concerned about fairness here, we could put a limit on when NFs must end by...3 days before the end of confirmation? That would definitely give enough time for the people who've been waiting for NF artists to be freed up to decide what they want to enter with!
