(sorry if this is kinda old... but I just found this sick news)

=====================================

In the 2007, the ‘artist’ Guillermo Vargas Habacuc, took a dog from the street, he tied him to a rope in an art gallery, starving him to death.

For several days, the ‘artist’ and the visitors of the exhibition have watched emotionless the shameful ‘masterpiece’ based on the dog’s agony, until eventually he died.

PS: the dog died in the end of the exposition

SHOOT THE SO CALLED ARTIST!

Going a bit far, but such acts of deliberate, barbarous cruelty towards animals should be given very stiff prison sentences.. An example should be made of this c/unt though, because he clearly has profited from this act of despicable cruelty, I reckon he should receive a huge fine (hopefully enough to wipe him out financially so that he has to go out and get a proper job), and spend at least 10 years in prison.... I blame Damien Hirst though in a lot of ways, he started this particular rot with his cows and sharks in formaldehyde, this obviously led to this absolute prick "upping the ante" and doing something even more "shocking".... The Chattering Middle/Media Class scum who find worth in this "art" should be roundly beaten with rubber hoses until they come to their senses.... It aint "art", it's sickening....

I don´t know what the law says in his country, but I suppose it´s not criminal there... Otherwise, it wouldn´t have been repeated many times this form of "art". Obviously the guy has no real artistic talent and benefits from the controversy generated to make a name for himself. Well, obviously dogs die in the streets everyday, and so human beings die of hunger every minute in the world.... What shocks me is not the death of a particular animal, but the fact people admire suffering and get pleased with it as a form of "art". Look at the people walking around in the video. I wonder how come nobody had the idea of hand the dog some food...

PS: the piece of work was not only exposed in the guatemalean bienal of art, but it ended up winning a prize...

WTF? Thats even worse. They notice it but dont do anything about it! (Apart from give it awards!)

Terrible. Absolutely terrible.

That is disgusting, why would the people who went to the Gallery do nothing?!

I signed the petition too

Because they're a bunch of sick, venal, parasitical, upper-middle class "fashionista" types who probably thought it was "oooh, sooooooo Street and gritty....." and probably thought that this w/anker was some sort of edgy "art terrorist" or rebel like Banksy or Tracey Emin, as opposed to being what he is - ie, a stupid, talentless, sick fukk..... <_<

You know, people who torture animals in this way are usually sociopathic serial killers-in training...... -_- Someone should check to see if he wets his bed or has a mother fixation as well.....

That's an awful thing to do. :(

I don't see how anyone could have looked at that and seen it as Art. -_-

Edit: I signed the petition.

I can't believe he won a prize for it..........I really can't......
