I think 'Break The Ice' deserved better than it did though 'Radar' or 'Toy Soldier' would of been better choices.

Agree about Mariah releasing 'Bye Bye', i think 'Migrate' would of been much better.

The Feeling shouldnt have chosen 'I Thought It Was Over' and 'Without You' as the singles. They should have started with 'Turn It Up' and then followed it with 'Join With Us'

I think I Thought It was Over was a fantastic choice for 1st single off Join With Us...it is energetic and different to all their other stuff...

Without You was a dire choice...they should have moved on to either Join With Us or Turn it up straight away :D

And then i don't know i would choose Won't Go Away personally but that's based on my taste

Craig David's 'Officially Yours' was just horrible, horrible, a c**p single choice. Didn't deserve any more than it's sub-top 75 position. '6 of 1 thing' was probably a mistake as well, should have gone with 'She's On Fire' as a second single for Radio 1 and 'Friday Night' as a third for Radio 2. Harrumph.

Taio Cruz releasing 'She's Like A Star' is a poor choice as well, any other song from 'Departure' would be better.

Maroon 5's 'Wake Up Call', despite it being one of my favourite songs from last year, shouldn't have been released because it sounds just a bit too similar to Makes Me Wonder, should have gone for 'Won't Go Home Without You' as the second, not third, single to keep the momentum going with the ballad everyone wanted from them.

Sam Sparro should have released Pocket instead of 21st Century Life imo ^_^

Estelle should have released Shine over No Substitute Love

Duffy should release Delayed Devotion before Stepping Stone

Everyone is saying about how Stepping Stone is a bad single choice - it hasn't even been released yet.

I think Duffy's 'Stepping Stone' is an absolutely perfect single choice, I'm elated she's releasing it.

Britney's 'Break The Ice' was a horrendous choice of a single whatever way you look at it. Personally it's my second least favourite song on Blackout besides 'Why Should I Be Sad'.

Like alot of people in this thread, I think Britney with Break the Ice.

and..

Mariah will all her single choices LMAO..

The Saturdays - If this is love. I think the song is catchy, but they could have come up with a better song if they really wanted to be the next big thing..

Duffy needs to release 'Distant Dreamer' IMO  but i can imagine that for a winter release - I dunno why but it feels Chrismassy to me :heehee:
Kylies 2 hearts shouldnt have been a single there are were far more worthy singles of the album than 2 hearts

Maybe not lead single but there's no way it shouldn't have been a single. For a lot of non-Kylie fans (me included) it's by a long way the best thing she;s ever released!

NONSENSE. Rihanna has been pretty much the biggest popstar in the past two years, and that's down to her single releases.

She's released a decent variety which have opened her up to audiences outside of the generic RnB fans; Shut Up And Drive did a good job of consolidating her popularity with the pop fans after Umbrella and showed there was more to her than the one song.

Shut Up And Drive and Hate That I Love You may have been eclipsed maybe by the success of her 2008 singles. But would she be having a successful 2008 without SUAD and HTILY, or would she have faded after Umbrella and gone back to releasing slop like We Ride?

As this topic is songs which YOU think were a mistake, i think i am entitled to say that SUAD was a bad choice because in my opinion it is an awful choice. And IN MY OPINION we ride is one of her best!

I agree with you there, and fyi SUAD FLOPPED in the US, so clearly wasn't the best choice.

Don't Stop The Music should have followed Umbrella.

There's no way Don't Stop The Music should've been second. It was actually an incredibly clever idea to save it for 4th single because it's quite clearly a global smash, as proved by it topping the charts in Europe, America and Australia, and it proved a massive boost for album sales. The album is still going strong by the second single; better to save the massive boost for when it's falling out of the charts by the time of the 4th. If Don't Stop The Music had been second, there'd have been no killer global #1s left to release, and the album would not be on the 5 million copies sold globally that it is now...

And SUAD wasnt a flop at all. It got to #15 in the US and sold platinum downloads; it was just hindered by the fact that radio didn't want to give up on Umbrella.

Like alot of people in this thread, I think Britney with Break the Ice.

Agreed!

Mariah and ALL her single choices :puke2: Even 'loving you long time' would be better placed with ISIL, migrate, FTR or side effects! Its doing nothing on US itunes, if they release it over here i think it will flop. Its doing ok US radio though. ISTIL would sell the album more than IBLULT as well.

Saturdays- i like the song- but could of been stronger considering how much promo they put in to them and the fact they are supposed to be the next big thing.

Madonna has better songs on her album she needs to release.

Linkin Park also should have released in this order

What i've done

Leave out all the rest

Given Up

Shadow Of The Day

Bleed It Out
