My feelings on this show have got a bit stronger lately - in a negative sort of way. It used to be a laugh but its just totally cruel now. I mean ... I don't mind the judges sniggering and being nasty to awful contestants (who are both awful vocally and personality-wise) but when they take the p*** out of people who are genuinely awful but innocent - I find it cruel beyond belief. I'm talking particularly about that girl from Newport (Rita). She'd been put before them by the producers and researchers with the obvious intention to be laughed at. Yes I know its part of the show ... but I feel like a co-defendant watching the show now. I don't mind laughing at the nasty, arrogant ones - a lot of them deserve it but this girl didn't deserve it.

Britney Spears is set to appear on the latest series of The X Factor, according to newspaper reports.

But no, she hasn't fallen so far that she has to audition for a place in front of Simon and co - instead she is expected to make an appearance on the show in December to promote her new album.

The X Factor slot will mark Britney's first visit to the UK in four years and will see her perform her new single Womanizer.

Since last appearing in the UK, Britney has been divorced, married, divorced again, had two kids, been involved in a custody battle for the kids and shaved her head. Phew.

Her last high-profile music appearance was at last year's MTV music awards which was widely criticized due to her sloppy dancing and out of time lip-syncing.

So, will she impress the X Factor judges and get four yes votes from the panel? Or will it be a no from Cheryl?

:w00t:

Yahoo have a poll asking you to vote for your favourite X Factor judge. Since the series started 20,000 votes have been cast and the results are as so:

Dannii 38% 7,851

Cheryl 26% 5,362

Simon 25% 5,156

Louis 12% 2,524

Very fair. ^_^

Dannii is easily the nicest but Simon is by far the best judge.

Dannii's hardly ever there! Even when she is she just sits there trying to look pretty. Epic fail when she's sat next to Cheryl lol.

Simon <3.

Simon is the best judge followed by Cheryl
Danii is by far the best judge. She isn't shown alot anymore, which is obviously because Cheryl is on the panel, and she may appear dull, but when Cheryl is being such an immature brat, putting people through to spite Simon, then Adolf Hitler would look dull compared to her.

I think all four of them are c**p! It really is only Simon's witticisms that keep me interested (apart from the awful contestants).

The best judge in all of this is the public! Apart from when they got it totally wrong and voted for Leon.

How many times did the public put Hope in the last two on the last series ... only for this dreadful 'jury' to keep them in?

As they say in courtroom settings .... M'lud, I rest my case!

Next weekend there is 2 episodes of Boot Camp over 2 days, with an episode on Sunday Evening.

I thought cheryl was abit harsh sending that guy who came back with a new additude and look from 2005 home i thought he had improved since then. Anyway so looking forward to tonight

I thought that ... I'm sure she was instructed to say no though - as bits of the show like this (those that provoke a reaction) are clearly staged to go in accordance with the makers' plan. If not ... and it was her decision then how petty can you get? I mean - its not like they were putting the guy forward to perform a heart-transplant is it? It is just music (well for about 5% of the participants it is anyway). The other thing about this particular 'no' was that, and I know this is going to sound heartless - the guy who they all said yes to the week before (the one whose wife had died) really wasn't much better than this guy.
