since i'm not a fan, can anyone explain to me what sets Kings Of Leon apart from every other indie-rock act that has flooded the charts for the part 3 years?

 

Could the same not be said for a lot of dance/pop acts?

They must be quite different as they seem to be one of the only ones I can't stand. Though I just had a quick listen to the new single and compared to the others I've heard, it certainly sounds more listen able.

To be fair, their new single is actually really good and i am not exactly a big fan of theirs

Sex On Fire is really growing on me! :o I really like it now.

I think Sex On Fire is ok. Its definitely better than 90% of the indie crock around.

Not with that song; it's trying to recapture the soul sound of the 1970s, but it wouldn't have even been a B side back then. Without question, she is the most overated artist of the 2000s. Couldn't stand her on American Idol and she completely ruined Jennifer Holliday's And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going.

It made #1 on itunes anyway :P . Indie etc hasn't flooded the sales charted, just the airplay chart and myspace :P

Her biggest singles have (so far) both peaked at #60 in the USA and I very much doubt it will do any better here. -_- If you're looking for overrated artists I'd look for artists that have had a lot of success with little talent i.e. Rihanna and Fergie. I'm a big fan of both, but they're hardly the most talented female artists out there for the amount of success they've both had. -_-
