It will make a change to see McFly taking a double-digit leap up the chart next week as opposed to down :)

It may not do as well due to the early release of their album as a freebie through a newspaper, a while back.

Wow Boyfriend is doing well i'm so pleased that Alphabeat haven't become a one hit wonder they're defying the rules of one hit wonders :D

they're far too good to be one hit wonders

they have at least 3 more hit singles left on 'This Is Alphabeat'

Lies wasn't included on that free album, it's a new track from the deluxe edition of the album

in other news, I think that Kings Of Leon will easily get the No.1 this week...with about 50k sales!

when Violet Hill reached No.1 on the iTunes chart, sales were tragically low, now the No.1 is selling roughly 40k a week again now

Elbow have won the Mercury Music Award last night, expect their album to climb up the chart today.

Care of the Music Room

I'm glad the Pussycat Dolls have dropped. I think their new single is awful and a very weak comeback single.
PCD down a place  I actually prefer Cliff :kink:
Lots of surprises this week in the chart! :o Can't wait until Sunday!
Please that PCD have fallen - So much for them knocking Katy off :D

Edited by Gboy

Wow!! So Cliff did manage to push PCD down the chart!! Shame Kings of Leon have done the same to him :P

I've really under estimated the Kings Of Leon track I didn't think it will do well on downloads, seems to be a threat to Katy Perry now, but I don't know how far they are, sales wise... between them.

I reckon Kings Of Leon will take it by sunday

I think they will. If it's true that the popularity bars on iTunes are almost twice as much as Katy's than it's very likely.
I hope pcd can climb again during the week, and when the dolls comes over to the uk for some tv promo this sunday and the whole next week. It;ll boost the sales of the single for next weeks charts.

Wow! Who would have thought few weeks back that Kings of Leon would take Katy P off the top spot! :P

Yeah PCD :jump: I've forgotten about Cliff. But why do I think that PCD will return to #3 by the enc of the week? Hopefully Rihanna'll make some boost in sales though.

I bet they miss out by 5 units, or something silly

Kings of Leon's iTunes lead is huge now. It's edging close to outselling Perry by a margin of 3:1...
