if music like this appeals to more people than Oasis's new single... God help the country.

At least Boyzone have done something we haven't heard from them before.

i would agree with you... HOWEVER

there's a differents between changing direction to good or bad... and this is just an awfull change

It is far from. I don't like ANYTHING from Boyzone. This has pleasently surprised me.
Thanks 411 for having the balls to say what I was thinking (but I was trying to be diplomatic). This song sucks big time. Still think it'll be number 1 and then sink quite quickly. It ain't no Patience though! I think Ronan is just using it to try to re-launch a solo career ... as apart from him (and possibly 5% Gateley) no-one else is singing the song! Keith Duffy looks fit though ... but what are the names of the other two?

Well the smugness of Take Tw*t has made me a Robbie Williams fan and on top of this being suprisingly good I hope it knocks them off their pedestal personally <_<

Top 3, hopefully #2 behind Oasis

Oddly enough ... it was the smugness of the Tw*t Williams that was largely responsible for making me a Take That fan! We have something in common ... in reverse!

But both of them aside ... the Boyzone song is pure unrelenting sh/te!

Awful vocals, awful song (so dated and contrived). Although catchy, like the plague. Think it will struggle to make Top 5/10 - hope so anyway.
This is awful! Surely they could have come up with a better comeback song! It sounds like a rejected song from Ronan's solo album! Top 10 but hopefully much, much, much lower! Think this will drop like a brick if it enters high!

I still think those saying a low position are wrong. As awful as it is I'm certain it'll get to number 1 for a week and then it will drop quite rapidly. These guys have got a massive amount of promo lined up and as much as I hate the song ... I actually like them ... and a lot of other people do. They're 'nice guys'.

the single didnt chart in ireland this week on downloads which has surprised me,,they performed tonight on the late late show which is a huge promotion for tnem here so that will boost sales of phyisiacl single alone,,,

tonight was the first time i saw them performing the song an di really dont like it all but it will do well in the uk from their fan base alone

The physical and download are being released together, which is probably why it didn't chart in Ireland this week.

Top 10.

Although popular their attempt to gain publicity by slagging off TT hasn't gone down well.

video doesn't work now :(

I'm thinking this will somewhat experience what can be described as the 90s single/Mcfly effect- A strong show in week one which will be increased by concentrating the download and physical release into the same week (becoming uncommon even for McFly now), followed by a plummet relatively quickly after as most of their old skool fans will buy this in week 1. That said, i don't think Oasis have anything to fear. I'm guessing scraping top 5 at no 5.

Am i also right in thinking they will be releasing a further greatest hits off the back of this? They've had about 5 already which are essentially the same which is pretty bloody disgraceful cashing in for a band who haven't done any new material in 9 years (obviously the new one will at least contain one new song this time though). Why not do a TT and release a whole new album guys? On second thoughts, don't. Boyzone are cack!

What a awful song!

I can see it doing a Spice Girls rather than a Take That tbh.

The boys are back in town. Boyzone are back after just getting back together 1 year ago after an 8 year split, with their comeback single Love you anyway which sounds very jazzy, a bit like Beach Boys. They have sold out Reunion tours and they are now wanting to excite fans with their new material of todays music. Love you anyway is their 18th release single which will be physically released on the 29th September.

So where do you think it'll chart

Top 20 if they're lucky - with just one exception all such comebacks have bombed.

I disagree with nearly every comment here, it's an excellent comeback single, my favourite Boyzone single to date, not quite in the league of Shine as far as uptempo boyband singles go, but it's a very good return which reminds me why they always were and always will be better than Westlife

I totally agree. Whilst it is no Patience at least it is vastly superior to the unremitting $h!te that was New Kids On The Block's comeback single.

I've heard it a few times now and the chorus, when the others join in is quite catchy. Its the bits that Ronan Keating sings on his own are still absolutely awful. It can't be helped ... he just doesn't have a good voice ... maybe if Gately sang the lead on this one.

Still for some reason I can't get the chorus out of my head now ... in an annoying 'Shaddap Ya Face' kind of way ... and we all know that song beat a more deserving one to the number one spot!

Norma

I've never been a fan of Ronan's voice and on this song, it irritates the hell out of me, but I think it'll still be a big hit but if it's up against P!nk, she'll come out on top I reckon.
