September 19, 200816 yr ^ Yes, Westlife's Greatest Hits Vol 2 appears to have been pulled from the release schedules. Anyway, here are my predictions for what they are worth: Week (Monday) of release: 22nd Sep : Kings Of Leon – Only By The Night 29th Sep : Will Young – Let It Go 6th Oct : Oasis – Dig Out Your Soul 13th Oct : Keane – Perfect Symmetry 20th Oct : Leon Jackson – Right Now :puke: 27th Oct : Snow Patrol - One Hundred Million Suns 3rd Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home 10th Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home (Assuming it is not critically panned) 17th Nov : Dido – Safe Trip Home (Assuming it is not critically panned) 24th Nov : Rhydian Roberts - TBA 1st Dec : Take That - TBA * * Until the end of the year, unless it is panned, then the Killers, Snow Patrol or Dido might claim the top spot I honestly believe Britney will get number 1... but didn't realise Take That were releasing the week before  maybe just one week? The album was available to pre-order two days ago and on HMV yesterday it was number 1 already on the pre-orders :o
September 19, 200816 yr Anyway, here are my predictions for what they are worth: 20th Oct : Leon Jackson – Right Now :puke: I so want to just put the word 'Leave' between the hyphen and the word Right. And not not as a tribute to Will but more of a plea to Leon. Norma
September 19, 200816 yr I honestly believe Britney will get number 1... but didn't realise Take That were releasing the week before  maybe just one week? The album was available to pre-order two days ago and on HMV yesterday it was number 1 already on the pre-orders :o I doubt it, she's had a load of #2 albums, but never #1 here and I don't think she'll manage it this time either, there's big competition. -_-
September 19, 200816 yr Britney's down for release on 1st Dec, the same day as Take That, according to HMV, so she has no chance imo of beating them.
September 19, 200816 yr I honestly believe Britney will get number 1... but didn't realise Take That were releasing the week before  maybe just one week? The album was available to pre-order two days ago and on HMV yesterday it was number 1 already on the pre-orders :o Britney, number 1 in UK? -_- -_- Seriously, don´t create to much expectation... She will be lucky to score Top 10 in this buzy season.
September 19, 200816 yr Agree with the list at the top of the page but isn't Killers new album out the same week as Rhydan? Think they'd beat him. Edited September 19, 200816 yr by Crazy Chris
September 19, 200816 yr I doubt it, she's had a load of #2 albums, but never #1 here and I don't think she'll manage it this time either, there's big competition. -_- To have a # 1 in December, her new album should sell in 1 week almost the same as her previous album did in 1 year     She´s coming from the biggest flop of her career, and even on her peak her album sales have never been that massive in UK... More like her album will debut between #10-20, on sales of 40 to 60k.
September 19, 200816 yr Britney, number 1 in UK? -_- -_- Seriously, don´t create to much expectation... She will be lucky to score Top 10 in this buzy season. Did I say she'd get number 1? NO! I was HOPING! and now I know she is up against Take That I'm not that hopeful but she will get Top 5... WATCH!
September 19, 200816 yr She´s coming from the biggest flop of her career, and even on her peak her album sales have never been that massive in UK... But her last album got basically no promo from herself, so now she appears to be back on form I'm sure it will be the 'proper' comeback she needed last year - especially if she really is scheduled to appear on the X Factor. I don't think it will go to #1, but I think it should at least manage go platinum in the UK this time. Did I say she'd get number 1? NO! I was HOPING! Actually, you said you 'honestly believe' she will go to #1, which is more 'saying' than 'hoping' in my opinion.
September 19, 200816 yr Actually, you said you 'honestly believe' she will go to #1, which is more 'saying' than 'hoping' in my opinion. Yeah but that was just before finding out Take That were gonna be releasing  then my hopes had gone RIGHT Down :(
September 19, 200816 yr Yeah but that was just before finding out Take That were gonna be releasing  then my hopes had gone RIGHT Down :( What makes you so sure TT will be number 1? I hope it does but I don't think it will. Norma
September 19, 200816 yr What makes you so sure TT will be number 1? I hope it does but I don't think it will. Norma Because they had one of the biggest selling albums of the past 2 years and it's still selling bucket loads so it's probably guaranteed and pencilled in as number 1 already
September 19, 200816 yr Because they had one of the biggest selling albums of the past 2 years and it's still selling bucket loads so it's probably guaranteed and pencilled in as number 1 already  Follow-ups to mega-selling albums seldom do as well though. Only two things are certain in life ... death and taxes! Norma
September 19, 200816 yr Follow-ups to mega-selling albums seldom do as well though. Only two things are certain in life ... death and taxes! Norma Yeah but Take That are one of the few bands that will ge another follow up just as big if not BIGGER than their previous album :o
September 19, 200816 yr Follow-ups to mega-selling albums seldom do as well though. Only two things are certain in life ... death and taxes! Norma Take That's WILL be No.1 with big sales. I'd bet my house on it. :o
September 19, 200816 yr I forgot The Killers were releasing again this year. They'll deffo be #1 when they're released.
September 19, 200816 yr To have a # 1 in December, her new album should sell in 1 week almost the same as her previous album did in 1 year     She´s coming from the biggest flop of her career, and even on her peak her album sales have never been that massive in UK... More like her album will debut between #10-20, on sales of 40 to 60k. I don't think it'll do amazingly well, but I think Britney's new album will do much better than Blackout and I doubt it would miss the top 10 to be honest! And due to it being December will surely boost her sales as well, not just other artists?!
September 19, 200816 yr What makes you so sure TT will be number 1? I hope it does but I don't think it will. Norma Follow-ups to mega-selling albums seldom do as well though. Only two things are certain in life ... death and taxes! Norma Norma as TT fan you should be expecting them to do well :P. They'll get to #1. Whether it hangs around or not i don't know.
September 19, 200816 yr AC/DC and Razorlight could be dark horses too. I'd expect Razorlight to be No.1 at any other time of the year as their last album sold a lot, but at this busy time, who knows? Stereophonics GH could even sneak a week at No.1. Edited September 19, 200816 yr by Crazy Chris
September 19, 200816 yr Norma as TT fan you should be expecting them to do well :P. They'll get to #1. Whether it hangs around or not i don't know. I don't expect anything! As a Capricorn I am by nature a pessimist. I want them to get to number 1 of course. It may get there, however if it sells just half the amount of copies as Beautiful World has ... I shall eat all the hats in my house! And our hat-cupboard is rather large! Norma
