Posted September 27, 200816 yr On November 3rd, a super female singles battle takes place in the UK, as 5 very strong contenders for the No.1 spot are fighting head to head. Who do you think will get the highest peak and most successful single?
September 27, 200816 yr I'd say Britney has the strongest single out of all of them. Can't see Alesha doing much tbh, as much as the fans want her to. Leona will probably do quite well seeing as she always gets good promotion and Christina will do well because it's a good song, though it has #02 written all over it :P. I'd say it's between Britney, Leona and Christina personally. Oh and for some reason I can't see Beyonce's comeback being too good, if it is really strong then she could be in with a shot. The only one who doesn't stand a chance is Alesha.
September 27, 200816 yr I'm gonna reserve judgement in this poll for now as i've only heard 2 of the songs so far but my gut says Britney is the most consistent singles artist here, but Leona could clinch it if Leona Fever hasn't experienced a backlash since her dissing us for so many months in favour of the US market (that and the fact everyone and their granny already owns Spirit)
September 27, 200816 yr The Top 5 will look like this... 1 - Leona Lewis - Forgive Me 2 - Britney Spears - Womanizer 3 - (Whatever was number 1 the week before The Killers? When do they release full?) 4 - Christina Aguilera - Keeps Gettin Better 5 - ??? - Whoever was at 2,3 or 6 the week before :kink:) - This one's a guess :P

I guess if the Killers make No.1, it'll be way earlier than the physical single's out.

Perhaps that's who will be at number 3 then by the time these girls have released... when do they release the download? This Monday?

September 27, 200816 yr I believe so! Hope they have a huge impact on first day! Hopefully it will be the new KoL :D but P!nk will still be strong in sales so hmm....
September 27, 200816 yr On November 3rd, a super female singles battle takes place in the UK, as 5 very strong contenders for the No.1 spot are fighting head to head. Who do you think will get the highest peak and most successful single? Five? I only see four - Beyonce, Christina, Leona & Britney - if Alesha's great 2006 tracks Lipstick & Knockdown couldn't do it, she has no chance.
September 27, 200816 yr hahaha... BRITNEY would be as i think womanizer is much better than gimme more... and Leona would be an obstacle...but the song isn't as good as womanizer...hehehe... the others are okay...overall...they don't varie much in sales but in the chartXD
September 27, 200816 yr I'd say Leona or Britney for #1, Christina and Alesha don't stand a chance. And Beyonce.... well, let's listen to the song first. The Killers and Girls Aloud should be still around the top3/top5 too.
September 27, 200816 yr Just for a bit of fun, let's get out my crystal ball: (Ne) 01 - Leona Lewis - Forgive Me (Physical & download 1st week + X Factor appearance = cert even though I don't think the song is that special) (Ne) 02 - Britney Spears - Womanizer (Only download is released this week, latest info has physical has been put back to Nov 24th) (01) 03 - Girls Aloud - The Promise (Provisional appearances on X-Factor & SCD in two consecutive weeks should ensure a huge hit single for this classic retro soul pop tinged single) (02) 04 - Dido - Don't Believe In Love (The release of her 3rd album this week should ensure this stays high in the chart) (04) 05 - The Killers - Human (This return to their 21st century Duran Duran sound of their debut album will still be selling well for this former chart topper) (??) 06 - Beyonce – If I Was A Boy (So far only a 15 second snippet of the intro has been released, with a similar sound to Britney's & Xtina's releases, so difficult to judge. Also no digital release date provided yet) (08) 07 - Christina Aguilera - Keeps Getting Better (Digital release down as Oct 19th, so physical release will help the song sustain its run in the bottom half of the Top 10) (03) 08 - Leon Jackson - Leon Jackson – Don't Call This Love (This former chart topper is now starting to fall away rapidly) (05) 09 - P!nk - So What (The song that spent two weeks at #2 behind The Killers shows it has staying power) (06) 10 - Sugababes - Girls (Their UK#3 hit (& first lead single from an album in 5 to fail to reach #1), along with Girls Aloud in the ascendancy has critics & fans speculating on the future of the trio who seem to have lost their way musically since Mutya left the band)
September 27, 200816 yr That looks spot on, TIP. I've not heard of this Beyonce clip, where can I listen? Edited September 27, 200816 yr by spiker
September 27, 200816 yr Alesha is going to be performing her Song on SCD; so has the potential to sell quite a lot Leona will almost certainly be on X-Factor (again) so will no doubt be Number 1 01 = Leona 02 = Christina 03 = Beyonce 05 = Alesha 06 = Britney
September 27, 200816 yr #1 Britney, Leona's single is not that good like Bleeding Love and Better In Time.
September 27, 200816 yr Hopefully Britney will get the highest. I think #1 is probably quite likely now, but I don't know in which week, it could get there on downloads alone, or just on physical release week. Hopefully The Killers will get their 1st #1 by then too -_-
September 27, 200816 yr well you can easily take alesha out of the equation, the song isn't very good or fresh its not tapping into whats happening now musically. leona is no question favourite the combining of downloads and physicals in the same week + the prime time x-factor slot. this is her core reality tv audience, simon cowell is expecting massive sales from his favourite cash cow. i would like to see britney at #1 to make up for "gimme more" and "piece of me" not going #1 cause they both deserved too but if she can't do it then the killers to do a kings of leon type upset and wipe the smug smile of syco!! -_-
