they were just mocking how Dr Fox was himself in Pop Idol, don't you remember how cringy he was?

he always said stuff like 'I agree with Nicki...and then said something completely different'

but my favourite bit was at the end:

is their a doctor in the house?

Foxy: I'm a doctor!

:heehee:

Peter Kay was on Radio 1 just now and he kept up the Geraldine persona for the whole interview almost (very confusing for some listeners who hadn't watched the show). They played 'The Winner's Song' and the 'b' side is Two Up Two Down's version. I'm off to buy it now if its in in HMV!

LMAO amazing.

I don't know how long it must have taken her to get used to reading out the name of the program so much LOL

Personally I loved this bit!

 Cat was really great.

Her and the cheeky girls were my favourite parts

Absolutely hilarious!!! Gonna have to watch the whole thing again later

The thing I love about the show overall - is how perfectly Peter 'got' every aspect of X-Factor - including the wrong winner. Because listening to TUTD singing the Winner's Song (several times now) I'm sure that phone in vote was rigged!

I agree, 2 Up 2 Down's version is pop gold, and musically my favourite version

but Geraldine had to win really :heehee:

But Geraldine's version sounds like a winners song. The Two Up Two Down version had FAR too much life in it for an X-Factor song...

I agree 2 Up 2 Down's version sounded like how 90% of the Great British public imagine a Eurovision Song should sound like (or "Bucks without the Fizz").

Anyway this was my favourite section of the show was the bit with all the celebrity cameos with Lionel Blair, Paul McCartney, The Cheeky Girls, Ricky Wilson & Rick Astley.

I don't deny that.

Geraldine's version is definitely the one that will connect most with the UK public, because it is SUCH an obvious parody of That's My Goal/A Moment Like This/When You Believe/All This Time/Evergreen

but 2 Up 2 Down's version is more my sort of thing

Its a great version to drive to! Just imagine roaring up the M6 at 53 mph, cellophane rattling in the windows, volume way up high! This was actually me this afternoon!

PS - I've only noticed your sig and this 'Pixie'. Is she the girl who was auditioned for Britannia High (Gary Barlow thought she had a fantastic voice and really wanted her in the show - but she didn't make the final cut because her acting wasn't up to scratch). It definitely looks like her.

I haven't laughed so hard in ages. By far my favourite part was those three old grans singing "Push The Button" It was f***ing epic
Lmao - everything about it was hilarious, purple button, Cat, Cheeky Girls, one of the disabled woman falling of the chair haha! :D
one of the disabled woman falling of the chair haha! :D

And even funnier ... Rick Astley coming to her rescue not before singing the line 'something's gotten hold of my .... $h!t are you alright love?'

Peter Kay's 'Pop Factor' draws 6m

A one-off Peter Kay comedy was a huge ratings hit for Channel 4 last night (Sunday), according to early figures.

Britain's Got The Pop Factor and Possibly A New Celebrity Jesus Christ Soapstar Superstar Strictly On Ice - a spoof of reality TV shows - entertained a huge 5.5m (20.3%) between 8pm and 9.15pm. A further 556,000 (2.5%) watched on Channel 4+1, taking the total audience well over the 6 million mark.

The special helped Channel 4 achieve the rare feat of beating traditional winner ITV1 in the 8pm Sunday slot. Heartbeat was knocked down to 5.32m (19.5%) for the hour.

BBC One had 6.86m (28.9%) for Antiques Roadshow between 7.15pm and 8.15pm, then the Strictly Come Dancing results show - in which ex-EastEnders star Jessie Wallace was given the boot - brought in 7.37m (26.6%) until 9pm.

A new series of A Touch Of Frost helped ITV1 regain the lead at 9pm, with an average of 7.57m (32.8%) tuning in between 9pm and 11pm. BBC One's new travel series Stephen Fry In America still made a decent start, however, pulling in 5.65m (21.9%) for the 9pm hour.

A results episode of The Pop Factor failed to match the heights of its first part, with an albeit still strong 2.96m (15.2%) tuning in at 10.15pm for 45 minutes. Sandwiched between the two halves was Peter Kay tour documentary One Hundred and Eighty, which managed 2.62m (10.5%).

BBC Two had 2.01m (7.4%) for the final episode of Charley Boorman: Ireland To Sydney By Any Means in the 8pm hour, then James May's Big Ideas concluded with 1.85m (7.2%). At 10pm, Alistair Campbell's candid revelations in the documentary Cracking Up could only muster 590,000 (2.9%).

On Five, 579,000 (2.1%) joined Austin Stevens's Adventures: Deadliest Outback Predators in the 8pm hour, then the audience grew to 1.15m (5.5%) for a screening of romantic movie Ghost.

Overall during primetime, ITV1 led with a 25.2% share (last week: 25.7%) to BBC One's 23.1% (25.2%). Channel 4 swelled from 5% to 14.6%, then BBC Two had 5.9% (10.9%) and Five had 4.6% (3.7%).

A screening of Mary Poppins brought in the largest multichannel audience of the day, with 642,000 (3.9%) watching on ITV3 from 5.15pm.

ITV2 had the strongest performance overall thanks to reruns of Saturday night's The X Factor. The first show, broadcast from 5pm, had 556,000 (3.9%) over two hours (+1: 124,000) then the results show pulled in 410,000 (1.7%) from 8pm (+1: 107,000).

Unfortunately only just under 3 million tuned in to the 'Results' half! I think it was a mistake to show that 'behind the scenes' of the Mum Wants A Bungalow tour - it tended to put people off!

PLEASE can someone direct me to somewhere where I can watch this? It's not on 4oD at the moment it seems! I've heard The Winners Song now and it's so funny it makes it actually quite good, how good would it be if it kept off Leon?
