Hmmmm, that's a shame, the bottom 2 are pretty good overall. Austin should go through though.

On a side note, someone should should have told Rachel Halloween was yesterday.

Rachel has the potential to do the best performance EVER! But, I think it's too late :( They will save Austin! :\

If Austin takes his top off for HEAT magazine next week he will stay for a few more weeks lol

About time for Rachel! About time that she sung a Mary J Blige track that is. :P I've said she should sing one. -_- Although hopefully she'll go tonight.

Actuallly Louis lost 2 acts in the first 2 weeks, Simon could lose 2 acts on a trot, mathematcially Dannii will lose 2 acts the following weeks :lol:

daniel should have been bottom 2,i dont like rachel myself but in the sing off u never no just look at last week

i prefer Austin to stay but i think Rachel has picked a better song

I so want her and Laura to do well because they're both from the North West.

 

Oh Norma, sorry to say, but that's such a ridiculous attitude to take. It's the sort of attitude that led to the MacDonald brothers coming top 4 in their final series, and why Louis and Simon keep on forgetting it's a singing competition and start banging on "I hope the whole of Stockton-Upon-Tees votes for you this week!".

Diana and Laura ARE good, but they deserve to win on merit not on the basis of their place of birth.

 

 

 

 

Anyway, this week wasn't great. No-one was really at their best.

 

 

01. Diana

I fully expected her to car-crash tonight, but no. After the last couple of weeks, I really think there's not a genre out there which should catch her out. It's odd, but Diana the "Marmite" figure, is actually proving to be the most versatile singer in this.

I still suspect she'll lose out in favour of Laura and Eoghan, but I'm hoping that's just me. She remains the only contestant where I could see myself actually looking forward to her recorded material.

Although like TIP pointed out, the humming was completely drowned out by the backing music, she could have put a bit more into that or tried something different.

 

02. JLS

JLS may not have proper belt-out voices like some of the others, but I find they entertain me more, there's just something very likeable about them, and they're the only ones where every week you KNOW they're having the time of their life. They made the right choice in lead singer, I'd go as far as to say he's a better singer than Eoghan.

 

03. Ruth

Simon is quite right on this one. Ruth is the reverse of Laura and Alexandra. She's got a decent voice, but is technically outperformed by the younger girls. But where Laura and Alexandra lack passion, Ruth has it in abundance, and usually it makes for a more enjoyable performance.

 

04. Laura

I'm still not completely won over. I find that Laura tends to overdo things a bit. She's completely set on proving her vocal range, sometimes at the expense of the actual song or putting in any emotion. But technically, yes, brilliant.

 

05. Alexandra

Another one who is technically great, but I'm finding that Alexandra's performances just don't make as much impact on me as they should. I think what's going to trip Alex up is that we've seen it all before with Leona. On The Radio...vocally fine, but I'm finding it's Louis oggling the naked men which is sticking in my mind.

 

06. Austin

Like Laura, he overdoes it too much. The opening lines were just all over the place. He needs to learn some subtlety.

 

07. Rachel

Not bad, not great. Not much more to say, other than I want her kept in, SIMPLY because I still want to see her throw a wobbler on stage.

 

08. Daniel

Daniel really isn't a BAD singer at all, and I don't think he'd be getting as much stick if he'd been in an earlier series. I think the general standard is higher this year.

 

09. Eoghan

Just WEAK. Unfortunately again I'm in agreement with TIP. I think he COULD well win. He'll be in the final certainly thanks to the idiot females (housewives, grannies and 12 year old girls) out there.

 

 

 

 

 

Austin REALLY does not deserve bottom 2 at this stage, and this is from someone who HATED seeing him during the audition stage.

Rachel...well she's had some atrocious performances to date and on that basis deserves to go. But it's sad to think TV is about to lose a potentially GREAT character. Rachel for every reality TV show going PLEASE.

 

Also, I'm quite intrigued by their showdown choices. Would never have dreamt the Shirelles for Austin, but I'm looking forward to it. As long as he DOESN'T bloody cry.

I'll admit neither of them had outstanding performances tonight but both of them have a lot of potential, It'll be a shame to see either go........I really can't think who I want to go.....I'll be gutted either way. :(

I'm still shocked that Daniel is through. Do people realise it's vote for your FAVOURITE and not Least favourite (Like Big Brother)
