In the midst of some very heated discussions being held in Quotosibb, 19 year old Spanish artist, Belinda, arrived for her first EVER BJSC tour. The Shadowan representative has chosen Quotosibb to kick off her tour due to the huge love the Great Kingdom has for their entries. From Beverley Knight to Robyn, Santogold to MIA, they've all been huge hits in the Kingdom and Belinda will be hoping she can do half as good those huge names.

 

The tour was kikced off with Bel's lively 'If We Were':

 

Next came the breathtaking ballad 'See a Little Light':

 

Finally, Belinda closed the show with ther BJSC XII entry 'At The End of the Day':

 

The Spaniards hectic schedule meant she was unable to stay long after the show to guage any sort of reaction but she certainyl made it clear that she hopes the Sibbian audience enjoyed the set.

13.....Lucky for Herzebania?

 

After what is looking increasingly like three consecutive flops for Herzebania, executives at HbTV are reminding the Herzebanian population and indeed the rest of Buzzjack of their pledge to put the country on the BJSC map in 2009 and bring a string of good results home.

 

After giving a taster of some potential entries for next year, but keeping a few trick cards under wraps, Herzebanian officials have announced that an internal selection will once again take place to select the country's 8th entry, for January 2009.

 

While it was reported that the main few songs being planned to make 2009 Herzebania's year were to be kept strictly secret by HbTV, it has now been announced that due to a potential leak of the songs, and risk of competition from other countries, one of the possible songs for January will be made public tomorrow after the semi-final of BJSC XII.

 

In the mean time, even if you don't feel like putting a couple of votes in its direction, enjoy Herzebania's festive entry for BJSC XII, "Grown Up Christmas List" by Monica :)

Showbusiness bookmakers Chartfair have installed Belinda as 2/1 joint faourite to win BJSC after an incredibly well received promotional visit to Inner Massivia today. Tickets for the main show, which guest starred Sir Tom Jones, were changing hands at five time face value among the touts outside the Mezzanine Bowl and to get hold of a VIP ticket for Belinda's exclusive acoustic set backstage in the Lively Lounge you'd have to sell a new born child into slavery.

 

Even though the visit came after the votes had been cast for Semi-Final 2 in BJSC XII, it's no secret that Belinda is one of the favourite new artists of Massivians across all demographics and is expected to have polled very well yesterday, qualifying Kingdom Of Shadow for the final with ease.

 

Lisa Mitchell goes down a storm

 

Lisa Mitchell's Neopolitan Dreams has already shot up 74 places to #3 on imTunes after her promotional appearance on The Early Mid Afternoon Not A Repeat Show today on state broadcaster Massivia TV. Part-Yael Naim, part-Feist the young songstress wowed the live audience with her beautiful song which is an entrant for BJSC XII. If sales continue apace she is likely to make a splash high up in the official charts when announced tomorrow.

Camille catches up after power cut comes to an end!

 

Afternoon Ca-mo-mille Tea made its long overdue début this afternoon after the country's exceedingly inconvenient power cut came to an end last night, and Camille strutted onstage to the backing of 'Money Note', her BJSC X and BoBJSC 8th placed hit, in her favourite pink boots, apologising profusely to the audience. 'It's all those stadiums', Camille said, 'After all, when you're trying to keep up with Ashton, you have to expect to overstretch yourself every so often', winking at the crowd while fondling a sausage that somehow made it to her desk. Surely nothing to do with Afternoons Avec Amelle's infamous Vincent interview?! :kink:

 

'But anyway, on with the show - we have catching up to do!'

 

Camille invited Darin onstage to a rapturous reception from Kopečka's Darin-crazy audience. 'So Darin, are you used to audiences this excited?' Camille asked. 'Well actually, yes Camille - I'm revered as some sort of musical God back in Sweden, almost akin to how Margaret Berger is treated here.' Darin responded, cueing gasps from several Bergerian members of the audience, for whom their religion states that mentioning oneself in the same sentence as the blesséd Margaret is a sin punishable by death by Canned Heat. 'Well, it looks like you need to prove yourself to some of the audience Darin! Ladies and gentleman, Darin and Kat DeLuna, representing Botanikka with Breathing Your Love!

 

 

'Wasn't that an astonishing performance people? I can almost see why he could think about comparing himself to the blesséd Margaret's reaction in another country!' Camille announced after, to a couple of boos from the audience but general applause. 'Good luck to you Darin!'

 

Next up, Camille spoke with Una Healy, representing FSR Farahtyn, a nation that hasn't had much success in recent times. 'So Una, how does it feel to represent Farahtyn, a country that hasn't seen success since April?' 'Well Camille, I was a little reluctant at first - after all, Farahtyn aren't exactly renowned as tough competition anymore. Well, at least not since Raffi.' [Laughter in the audience] 'But, I thought about it from a while and thought that my song was probably good enough to make people sit up and think that Farahtyn could deserve to return to its formerly successful ways - if only for one contest. I just hope that I can qualify!', Una replied. 'Do you think you stand a good chance of doing so?' 'Well, there's some pretty serious competition in my semi. I'm really loving Lisa Mitchell and La Roux at the...[rest of sentence blurred out by rapturous cheering]'. 'Well, it's been great talking to you Una! Ladies and gentlemen, representing the Former Scottish Republic of Farahtyn, Una Healy with Sorry!'

 

 

'So, up next we have Kelly Osbourne and t.A.T.u. from Lorikeet and Sangria respectively! How are you ladies?' 'Oh, I'm fine at the moment. I have to say I'm loving Kopečka at the moment, it's so much better than that trashy country Ashton with its trashy hanger-on Sugababe-presented chat show' Kelly Osbourne replied, to a mixture of cheers and gasps. 'Well Kelly, I know you've had your problems with Amelle but Ashton's profile in this country is sky-high! What do you have to say to viewers that will be displeased at your anti-Ashtonise position?'. 'I'd tell them to visit the place. For all the stadiums and skyscrapers, it doesn't blind you to the fact that there are beggars starving in the streets and environmental protestors in the country being silenced, and that the country's dictator personally rounds up every 5th beggar he sees on his Sunday drive and shoots them in front of all of his subjects as a lesso-' 'Well, that's all we have time for Kelly! We've been told to put you straight on stage - I'm sure the audience can't wait to hear your Lorikeetian entry! Best of luck dear!' Camille announced, cueing sighs of relief within the IBK Alpha board room.

 

 

'So t.A.T.u., how does it feel to be returning to the competition - especially hosted in the nation where you first gained your credibility in this contest?' 'Well Camille, we've spent the last few months considering this chance, and we did briefly flirt with the idea of representing the up-and-coming Nonsuchites, but ultimately we decided that we needed to represent somewhere at least mildly Slavic, and Sangria struck us as an ideal choice after Gomenasai did so well for us for Eledan. We hope that the Eledanese won't be too angry when we finish above them!' 'How do you think that the Eledanese will respond to your presumptuousness?' 'Awfully. They're all Bloc Party-obsessed drunkards over there - we love them, but they're still drunkards!. This statement triggered an explosion of laughter in the audience, which Camille took as a cue to invite t.A.T.u. to perform their second BJSC entry, Fly On The Wall, for Sangria.

 

 

'And so finally, we move on to our last two guests - Marit Larsen of the Former Norwegian Republic of Tinnmark and Emilia de Poret of Angelicland! So, with the recent merger of Norwegia and Tinnmark, Marit, how was it to know that you were being sponsored by two countries?' 'Simply breathtaking Camille, simply breathtaking. I can't wait to find out whether I've qualified tonight - I just hope that if I don't, La Roux does!', Marit replied to applause from the audience. 'And you Emilia? How does it feel to be declared the Countess of Pop and follow in the footsteps of Agnes Carlsson? Do you think that Angelicland could become the new Rontvia with the entry of Vincent this contest and the move away from fempop?' 'Well daaaaahling, I'm simply ecstatic to be awarded such a title. I only hope that I can go about eight better than daaaaahling Agnes could. And I'll definitely be trying to dethrone Charlotte of my beloved Sweden next year - you heard it here first people, I'm going for Moscow! Angelicland will trash Rontvia - who are, by the way, SO June 2008 these days - and then Sweden will trash Dima's ass in his hometown. How do you like that?', Emilia bitched to mixtures of whoops and laughter from the receptive audience as her PA went insane in the press room at the leakage of her shock announcement. 'Well, best of luck with that Emilia! May we hear both of your entries? Ladies and gentlemen, Marit of FNR Tinnmark and Emilia of Angelicland!'

Amelle Hits Back At Chubby O

 

Ashton has no beggers. Ashton and Kopecka have the lowest rates of homelessness in Buzzjack, at approx, 0.

 

Kelly Osbourne is a cheap skeazy cow who is trading off her fathers surname. She's on a pathetic little revenge path because i asked her some hard hitting questions that were on the mind of the Ashtonise public, its what has made the show a success.

 

She's just jealous that i can actually sing without the use of autotune and the fact that i am worshiped within Ashton and she is a total nobody. I don't want to lower myself any further towards that tramps level but i'll just say one more thing.

 

At least i actually have a talent that isn't arse kissing and have got to where i am by honest hard work. Not shagging someone and using a famous surname.

 

 

Red Blooded Tour - Postponed

 

Due to bad weather conditions within the bands base, Ashton, RBW have postponed their tour until the 9th of December. A full list of dates will be posted on the 8th.

 

Afternoon Avec Amelle - Friday Canceled

 

Due to snow on the south coast of Ashton reaching 4 foot, Afternoon Avec Amelle was canceled on Friday whilst road workers attempted to clear the roads within Ashton. More heavy snow fall is predicted for tonight and tomorrow morning. It is unknown at this point if AAA will return on Monday Or Tuesday. An extended show will be shown on the date of return.

Monica flops....But could this be Herzebania's next entry??

 

Monica's "Grown Up Christmas List" gave Herzebania its biggest flop to date after finishing last in the semi-final with just 19 points in BJSC XII.

 

However, keeping yesterday's promise, here is a taster of what is to come in 2009; a potential entry to January's contest for Herzebania, as HbTV chiefs step the country's efforts up a gear for the new year.

 

And it is a song dipped in a thick coating of irony, as the artist originally meant to be competing for the country in January's contest with a different song which was snapped up by another country first, actually may get to enter next month after all!

Very important notice regarding Loose Lingerie's future

 

After much deliberating amid the credit crunch, freak weather and rapidly falling interest in FSR Rontvia, Loose Lingerie has been cancelled as Maria and Mira expressed no further interest to continue hosting the show. The lead singer of Thermostatic offered to host the show bu this was met with a muted response from both fans and heads of RTVN. Few of the remaining scheduled acts due to have performed will be affected by this cancellation - only one of the five acts that was due to appear this week actually made the final. Maria and Mira issued this joint statement: 'we have had a great run, and we are glad that it had such brilliant viewing figures across the Buzzjack World. We are sorry that it has had to end but we have decided that it is not worth continuing. We are very pleased to have inspired a number of other daytime shows such as Afternoon Avec Amelle and The Heidke Report and we hope that they will continue to support the artists in our void'. It has been announced that the 12.30-1.30 lunchtime slot in FSR Rontvia will be filled with a new quiz show due to start soon called 'Jackpot Sanna' hosted by Sanna Nielsen and Charlotte Perrelli.

Inner Massivia cancel remaining tour dates

A state of emergency has been declared in Inner Massivia tonight after country-wide riots took hold following the announcement that the nation's entry for BJSC XII, Leona Lewis's Fool, had failed to qualify for the final.

 

As a result security forces have been employed on the streets of the capital Attacktonia and a curfew enforced in other cities. A further consequence of the failure to qualify is that all remaining dates on the Some Kind Of Fool promotional tour have been cancelled.

 

A statement has been released by the Ministry of Popular Music:

 

"We are of course delighted to have been invited to take part in the competition, but that delight is tinged with a soupcon of sadness at our failure to qualify. We are however planning ahead and have already contracted the artist who will represent us in BJSC XIII. Introducing Ms Melanie Fiona with Give It To Me Right:"
