What we were all asking for a Kit and Kin hoodie!

Only interested if they included the ‘Spice World 2019’ tour logo too as we only have 87 hoodies with those

You really think they would capitalise more on some hoodies and t-shirts! Come on girls!!

Geri will be adding to her basket feverishly  :teresa:

I hope she plays 'Bag It Up' while doing that :teresa:

If even this flop album (#28) can get Universal to be released internationally on streaming, surely Emma can get Free Me on international streaming platforms as well?....

Can we please all ask Pop Music Activism on twitter to request Free Me to be next please?

Rachel had a hit with Some Girls and two of the other singles of the album landed on Top10 as well, but the album itself flopped big time back then. It has only been on UK streaming so far, and its streams average the same as Free Me has in the UK as well. Emma's fanbase is mostly international so it would make sense to get it properly everywhere so the streams can be picked up by her fanbase!!

I'm starting to think Simon is holding the rights hostage.

Wouldnt surprise me if it is an issue with the old XIX/19 Records side, as they were technically also part of the production and release strategy (I think Emma even mentioned it at the time that it was a partnership between Universal and 19 Records and her, and not the usual one-record company deal).

Still though, please do send Pop Music Activism a message on twitter about it!

ALSO, seems like Rachel's album was also released back then as a collaboration between Universal and 19 Records as well just like Emma's!!

New Bunton interview on This Morning...

Nothing major but:

- Looking into venues for new Christmas shows this year  Loves doing the solos and the Spice songs during this... Lets see where this goes...

- Cute Viva Forever chat in the beginning, though nothing major

- Everyone keeps asking about Spice tour and they talk about it a lot, but it will depend on schedules bla bla bla bla bla (not a straight up no though, at least this time! She seemed more interested than before on this but as usual, take it with a pinch of salt...)

- yada yada yada yada yada Kit & Kin stuff yada yada yada pum pum TA TA :teresa:

Oh Emma…

I’d maybe understand this obsession with Christmas shows if she actually went to the studio and recorded a Christmas album and then promoted it, as a means of justifying doing shows. But otherwise I think this is going to be a case of severely diminishing returns. I don’t have faith that she could do multiple dates this year, not after last year. I know she couldn’t help getting ill but that was a reasonable chunk of people who bought tickets who were left disappointed. I just can’t imagine that a lot of them would rush to get tickets again if she does do new dates. And how will she attract new attendees who weren’t bothered last year? What would change this year to make “Emma Bunton performs Christmas songs” more desirable?

It's really odd, because I don't even think they were all sold out dates? So it wasn't like it was massively successful and a great demand to begin with. As you said, if she'd release a Christmas album to justify the tour it would be more understandable.

The concerts were so cheap last december and without an album does not make sense.

It does seem odd to be honest... I remember the Brighton date was like less than half full and a lot of those tickets were given out free to the locals to make up the space. I guess it is up to her promoter, and I would imagine that if she is to do a tour again it would be smaller venues with teh London date being the big one.

It was a bit of a flop for sure, not just commercially but also quality wise... It was a mess and not in a fun way!

But yeah... unless she does something better, I dont think a lot of people will bother.

The London date sold out for sure and Manchester (the first night) was apparently ok audience wise. But the rest were quite poorly sold, specially Birmingham and the York dates (ironically, the two ones that she was ill for).

Ye, I'm a fan of the girls and I give every tour a go, so I was happy to go last year as I had missed the (much superior) RAH one-off, but I wouldn't go back this year unless it was a last minute freebie with no better option tbh. It was all very budget pantomime and 'regional' plus I'm not really into Christmas music enough to justify this a second time.

I really wish she moved on from this Christmas/covers phase and did at least the minimum effort Louise or Claire Richards put themselves through.

This is where I sit with it as well... If Bunton had HALF of the drive that Louise or Claire have, she could do so much more and much better
