Honestly, considering she's talked about doing more Christmas shows and they weren't exactly a smashing success last year, only a Christmas album to tie it in with would make sense at this point (well, that or she got really drunk on egg nog one day and thought doing more Christmas shows would be a good idea).

Didn't they hint at that last year and nothing came of it?

 

I'd say could it be Cher's album, but are they big enough to work with Cher?

I will buy exactly ONE copy and never open it

I will stream it once just to check it out but unless it is an absolute masterpiece (lol) then I wont bother

 

Frankly, specially with this producing team (same as My Happy Place), I am definitely not excited for this. Not only a Christmas album, but also not a great producing team.

No it wasn't, yes some of the production wasn't the greatest but it was a commercial success and her highest charting album for 26 years! One of Us was one of the best songs she's ever recorded.

I was referring to the production since they are producing this album too.

 

 

BUT on that subject.... I am a huge Cher fan, she is my favourite female artist ever, I travelled to Vegas from the UK to see her in concert and I have albums from her from every decade... and Dancing Queen was pretty horrendous. As a huge Abba fan, she sounded dreadful on all the songs. One of us was the best one we can agree, but to say it is one of the best songs she has ever recorded when she has turn back time, stars, I got you babe, believe, heart of stone, I found someone, gypsies, tramps and thieves and countless others is so wrong! The original is one of the best songs, her version is not.

Let me rephrase that, One of Us was one her best recordings in years, that's what I meant to say. There are some good songs on the album (SOS, Fernando, One of Us, Chiquitita) and others that could have been redone (Mamma Mia, Winner Takes it All). But on a whole it was a decent album. But we've all got our own opinions.

 

Yes I think they're talking about Cher's Christmas album not Emma's. It made sense for Emma to do the Christmas album last year, it's a bit too little too late. I hope she doesn't do another Christmas show, I had tickets for Birmingham last year and was gutted when she cancelled.
